I love the old anime art style cause damn the body proportion are not exaggerated and just right. It feels pleasing. The color pallette that were also used is satisfying. The new anime art style evolved from long way round but for me, the old style paved that path and build its place inside my heart.

Fly me to the moon goes very well with this anime, keeping in mind that this anime is about the past lives of people from a moon base. Aliens from another world. It's a beautiful edit. I can't tell you how many times I've replayed this and have kept it on loop, watching the edit.

I hope they do more with this story in the future, or at least reboot it. This anime impacted me greater than almost anything i've watched, Shion has such a tragic backstory that we really didn't get to know about.

Because i found this music video i was introduced to a gem of an anime :) i was entranced with the ribbon dance scene and ultimately it was a wonderful story all in all, i listened to this as i read the manga

Un argumento que poco convense y un diseño de personajes apenas regular, dejarian que muchos ignorasen esta obra, sin embargo tras esa fachada engañosa de un animemanga mas del montón, se convierte en uno de los trabajos más originales que e visto con un desarrollo de personajes que cautiva a su espectador que te adentra no solo a la histora en si mismo sino tambiem al psique del personaje, un gran anime y un gran manga dirigido por Kazuo Yamazaki(Urusey Yatsura,Maison Ikkoku, Viento llamado Amnesia).

im sad that this anime is so underrated, and most of my otaku friends don't really watch it, hm. other than that, im pissed that 'please save my earth' got discontinued. c'mon, it's a great anime with a cool concept.

Discontinued? I thought that this was on par with what most anime based on manga do. If a manga is lucky enough, they get a anime adaptaion, but the anime only goes so far since _usually_ the manga would still be going on by the time the anime comes out. Hence anime based on manga don't have a definite ending/conclusion. Check next time if an anime even _had_ an original manga in the first place. _Maybe_ the anime is the original and a manga is based off of _it._ At least that's what it is nowadays. Some stories are anime-only; never manga.

I didn't know that they had made this manga into an anime. I'll have to give it a watch since I love the manga. It's such a beautifully tragic story. It kind of reminds me of another not well-known manga called "Planet Ladder". If you liked Please save my earth, you might also like this gem.

@@shatteredXmirror i know that you posted this comment two months ago but i really recommend you the manga if you liked the anime. there’s a real and satisfying ending, plus there’re way more details about their past lives on the moon that are not mentioned at all in the anime such as the relation between shion and mokuren for example, in the manga it’s so different to what we’ve imagined while watching the anime, it’s not a simple love story or a kind of “love at first sight”.

It seems like a lot of the original manga prints have been out of print and some of the scan sites have it messed up. Do you have any recommendations on where to find it? I read through some of the comments on the anime and it seems like the manga is a bit darker. Is that true?

The romanticism of being reincarnated as a young boy after being left on the moon for 7 years while everyone else dies and gets reincarnated first along with the love of your life. And then dying last and being reborn later than everyone else and now the love of your life is someone else and itll never work out because only you remember and now shes in highschool and your in elementary school. Life is hard uwuuuuuu.

Read the manga. Once you finish, you’ll feel an inexplicable emptiness. It’s truly an emotional journey. I feel like most of the story takes place in their past lives. You’ll see the story from two point of views: Shion (the kid/dark skinned dude) and Mokuren (bangs girl/blondie). Shion is kinda an ass due to his horrible childhood and outlook on life. Mokuren is the opposite.
