Guessing the tracks with the lower gear drive will out-torque the duals. But for looks, the duals ROCK! Did you guys make your own rims or can these be store bought? GOTTA HAVE ME A SET!

might have been a lil different had they started at the same time not after the duel wheeled one was already sliding. pulls like this require timing to be fair.

@jcolcord5 the old style way of mounting duals on a tractor is to bolt the inside one normally and then use a spacer ring and long U Bolts to bolt the outside rim to the inside rim.

@autofrite The wheels are spinning, so it's nothing to do with torque, but traction. If the wheeled atv can spin the wheels, then it has enough torque. Also depends on gearing elsewhere.

@100Dunner i dont know how he did it but a friend did it and he bolted the rims together and then put em on the axles, just with longer bolts they're not as strong. so its better to put the rims together and keep the factory studs

@Siuco true, but the main purpose of the tracks is to spread out the weight for snow/mud, so you don't sink in.

@damanbrad2004 well engineered tracks can stil haul some seious ass if they are designed that way. Look at a Sled those things are doing 70 mph those tracks are long and just smokin under there. I understand what you were trying to say tracks VS wheels though. I just wanted to note that some of these are very well designed and can go as fast as the machine can push em, which of course wouldn't be quite as fast as if the machine had to drive easy to turn wheels. @chadro85 I suppose it makes a bit of sense. But if you had a truck with 10" wheels and then another truck with dual 10" wheels then the 2nd truck would have 20" of wheel on the ground and therefore better traction? But a truck with single 20" wheels would have better traction than dual 10"s because all the weight is being pushed down onto wheel? Probably hard to make sense of what I just wrote. But it's just a hypothetical

Although the Kawasaki was being pulled backward before he gave it throttle, the tracked ATV would still have won anyway. I want to get tracks for winter use.

more power with the tracks.the drive wheels are smaller than the tires,so more torque is a given.they both have their advantages. lol-lets see which one floats better....

yeah, not surprising. the tracks likely have double the surface area of the doubles, maybe even more if you made triples. they're unbeatable.

Any one with half a mind knows that duelys get les traction... the weight is spred out and can't bite the ground. The narow tires of the model-T could bite in and go through the mud....This video proves that !! I alwas laugh when I see a duelly pick up !!!

I believe the real purpose of dual wheels is for added load carrying ability with the added protection of a spare tire to carry the weight in case of a blowout, not for traction purposes....although on hard surfaces you will receive added traction which is why dragsters don't use skinny tires on the drive wheels....mud is pretty much the only surface where skinny tires have an advantage....the tracks actually have the weight spread out over more area than the dual wheels do and yet it still bites the ground, it just doesn't dig itself into the mud like round tires do becoming a burden to itself by creating a rut that it must try and climb out of
