Nice! I've driven GPZ600r from 1992 till 2013 as a daily commuter, but also used it for holiday trips to the alps and even did track days in spa franchorchamps. Super reliable, sturdy, because of lack of electronic shXt no one really needs it was easy to work on, and cheap in maintenance. I loved my GPZ.

Thanks for the vid. I used to have a ninja 600R with ported head and vance and hines single side exhaust. It looks like the same bike except for the name and color. I loved that bike. I look back on it like an old girlfriend you regret breaking up with. I actually haven’t found a bike that is that fun, quick, and comfortable to ride. Man, I miss that bike! It was a real screamer too. Not super fast (maxed out at 125mph), but it got there quick.

The most powerful GPZ 600 A5 1989 model. The last type made. And a timeless bike 👍

I have one, basically as a beater bike, since the price to restore grossly exceeds the value of the bike. The only real problem that I have right now is the front suspension. There's probably a leak somewhere, since I loose air pressure within a couple of stops and basically end up with a pogo stick in the front.

Interesting. I just bought an 87 600RX with the aluminum frame. For us in the US, 87 was the last year of this style, changing over in 88 to the model with the padded covers where your knees touch the tank. What country are you in?

I have a 1992 Ninja 600R. In fairly good cond as my first bike. Any suggestions on where I could find parts to make it look as modern as yours. Looks like it's fresh off the show room floor. Beautiful.

Sorry Scott no. I sold the bike a while ago. It's with a collector on the Irish Republic.

My tip - don't 'modernise' it - for those that know what they are, they're more attractive original. They'll never see z900 prices, but there's a lot of interest in various early Kwakkers ... and not all that many left, now. If you want to 'improve' go for 'sensible' mods - decent, modern rubber, Tsubaki chain & sprocks (wait until they need doing, if the existing are ok), heated grips, uprated headlight bulb (be wary of higher wattage, can melt 'things' for some marques) - Osram & Phillips do improved output @ standard wattage - not HiD level, but often a useful improvement. Braided lines, taller screen (if you can find one), heated grips if useful to you - but KEEP all the OEM stuff too, if it's not shagged at least. If you're in the UK: Wemoto for general spares Cradley Kawasaki, for OEM items 6 months since you posted this - hope you've still got it. They're worth hanging on to, & looking after :-)
