I picked up an '86 in early '91 when no one cared about them any more. I still love riding it, and it gets a lot of positive comments and attention.

Great bike I had A2 1986 model.Red white blue. When I was 18 years old in 1990.Still got the photo of me on it.Enjoy riding it.

I had a brand new one in 85 on a c reg , back then I paid £2695.00 for it brand new , I loved that bike

I had one of these all lined up for delivery in May 85. They ballsed the order up though and it went to another guy. I was mad as hell and ended up buying a Yamaha RD350F instead. That bike was pocessed, demanding to be driven in that high rev 'power band' to get the best from it and to stop it oiling up as the mechanic told me on its first service. I had bad feelings when I rode it, and sure enough, it bit me hard one early foggy morning and drove me straight into a round about chevron sign. I broke my neck and have now been a Quadripegic, sat on my arse for thirty four long years. Mind you, if I had the chance I'd get back on one tomorrow. It would definitely would not be a crazy two stroke rocket though ..

what a great bike

Once upon a time in 87 when i saw that bike in a showroom near Bournemouth, that bike for me was the absolute bike to have.. After oggling over her back in 85. The intensity of feeling that youth can give stays with me even now as a 53 year old old fart. Just couldn't afford her at the time, should have gone finance. Got a Ninja 650 now. Brings back memories thanks for sharing.

Same as you 600r 80s dream bike. i ended up with 750 turb. I remember drooling over the midweights the yam 500lc Suzuki rg gamma 500 and honda nsr but my hear wanted the 600r it just made more sense as a four stroke.
