Hey buddy, great video as always. I own a 2017 ZX14R and a buddy of mine has the H2SXE. I agree with your review giving the ZX14R the edge. Something I wanted to touch on to your review is the gearing between the two. I was really surprised that the H2SXE gearing is shorter than the ZX14R. We did side by side comparisons on the highway. So when he's in sixth gear I would be in 5th. Same mile per hour, when I would shift to 6th at the same speed my RPM's were much lower. Another thing to consider depending on the type of riding you do is the aerodynamics and drag coefficient. Riding both again the edge goes to the ZX14R. Sorry for the long comment I can go on.. 😂 I also own a 2024 25th Anniversary Suzuki Hayabusa as well. If you ever wanted real rider feedback from a 50 year old man who has owned lots of big bore bikes I would be happy to share with you what I know. Cheers my friend.

@SB-wh6gy they're so different. The Busa has a more aggressive seat position, the foot pegs sit higher. I really like what they did with the Busa in terms of quick shifter, upgraded electronics, the suspension and brakes have both been upgraded and the front end is so planted to the ground. My 14 is not stock however so it's tough to compare power because the 14 makes a lot more. From 0 to 100 the Busa is a rocket ship. They cut some top end power but as a street rider a few horsepower at the top of the curve you'll never notice. So one or the other is really tough. Slight edge going to my 14 because I just like the fact it feels more raw and untamed. You can't go wrong with either or.

@PSviewpoint I love 14. I had an 06 in black that I bought brand new as well. Both generations were great with the edge going to the 2nd gen. I really do wish they made some updates a few years back. Nothing drastic just some simple things. Quick shifter, cruise control, etc. If Kawasaki did similar upgrades to the 14 as Suzuki did with the Hayabusa.. ugh.. damn they missed an opportunity.

I’m looking at the zzr 1400 performance sport, I’m going away from tech because of issues with other bikes (bmw) the 1400 appeals to me because it’s more analog and a hell of a well engineered bike, all that tech is not needed, you just need abs, thats just my opinion.

Had mine from new - 10 years old - never sell it - awesome bike and long wheelbase does mean it’s harder to flick around than true sports bike (still handles better than I can ride) but also means other bikes can’t touch you on acceleration - just a sweet awesome hyper missile - get one - you not regret it!

I'm very happy with my 2023 Ninja 1000sx bit less power but a lighter bike, you should do review on this bike, often overlooked seems like by plenty of KZfaqrs, I live in Australia and brand new it is good value for money compared to other bikes.

The H2 SX will be definitely my next bike. In this occasion the new one is a better deal,newer,lots of electronics and price is similar when it's used. Beautiful bike all the way

I'm on my second H2 SX SE and agree that "bang for buck" the ZZR wins and is a great bike but, for a bike to use for fun rides, tours of Europe, scratching on the passes in the Alps and the Dolomites, blasting the autobahns, and commuting, a flashed H2 SX SE Performance Tourer with a de-cat and a high flow filter will better the ZZR1400 everywhere.

I appreciate the technical breakdown and comparison from a proper everyday rider (not a sales rep or interrag sheet for clicks) ... even if the global emissions police across the pond would prefer everyone to ride the trolley/tube or just walk. Thanks for the professional rider dialog with specs riders want. Admittedly, I watched at 1.75 speed. Visit the states during a major BIKEWEEK (FL,SD,TN or TX) and borrow/rent a bike or 3 as a business expense/experience 😮(Bring the Ms') and cameras for your followers and the tax write-off. ***Plan and partial pay to hold spots at 53 weeks out for a 52 wk out reservation from major events and bike rentals if your serious.

A good comparison between 2 magnificent Kawasakis. I personally prefer my ZX-14R, but would love to have the heated grips and adaptive cruise control that the H2SX has. 😎

In the US you can still get a ZX-14R (with the amazing colors) NINJA ZX-14R 40th ANNIVERSARY EDITION ABS - MSRP $17,249 while the H2 SX is only available as the NINJA H2 SX SE - MSRP $28,000 or more (Kawasaki does not list anything for the year 2024) the price difference is HUGE I have a 2017 ZX-14R and love it but I just wish it was refreshed, updates to electronics, dash, quickshifter, maybe some weight loss...

I'm a fan of big NA engines, especially if you want to do countryside cruising, so easy to use the top 2 gears at 2/3000 revs on the small roads where I live, the engine's happy and there's still instant torque. Supercharged engines are great when you're riding more sportily....good to have choices 👍🏻

Couple things. The ZZR weighs more at 169KG vs H2 SX 167KG. And yes the ZZR has more torque but the H2 will out pace it higher on the rev band thanks to the supercharger giving the H2 more torque to play with across the rev band

Great comparison and video! But since i own both a 2014 zzr ps and 2022 H2SX se Touring i can share my experience: Motor, zzr more grunt and horsepower. Comfort, H2sx, better seating position, gel seat, better suspension. Tech, H2sx by far. Touring, H2sx because of tech and panniers, but zzr with 2 up is better. Handling, zzr Weight is lower down, more sporty and faster. Looks, zzr but the H2sx if need panniers. Value for money i think they are both great because all the tech on the H2SX and since the zzr been around for so long its a bargain

I had a 2006 ZZR and did 70,000 miles commuting and touring on it. The biggest surprise was the fuel economy. At 90 on motorways it would get just shy of 50 to the gallon.

Unlike various other reports I often get better than 50mpg on my H2SX SE. My long term average on the trip computer is steadfastly 52.3mpg. I've even managed 60mpg on a very gentle 100 mile trip. Best bike I've ever owned. Smooth, fast, comfortable and beautifully engineered.

I'd still go for the zx14. And then I'd take the money I saved to add all the new feature comforts and still have far less invested in the bike.

Pipe it, flash it, tune it and you will be more than a ZZR... Anyone purchasing this bike can afford those basic mods. And if you need to go faster then add a Stage 2 SC gear..... This is the pinnacle of the sport touring class...

Kawasaki neuter the H2 SX above 9000rpm by closing the throttle butterfly's even though the grip is fully twisted. Simply removing that restriction will up the H2 SX to around 215bhp. Add a de-cat, a decent can and a filter and you're looking at over 220bhp. Numbers that the mighty ZZR1400/ZX14R simply can't handle.

Just on price A quick look on Ebay pulled up 3 H2 SX SE's for under 21 grand with 0 / 10 and 176 miles on the clocks, maybe 2023 models but I bet the differences are minimal between the 23 and 24 models.

Also if that H2SX was 15kgs lighter would be better.... But still a wonderful bike, so was the Zx14/ZZR in its time ..

Not sure ...I understand ....seems like a H2 review ??? didnt see the zx1400 (zzr) in the "Comparison" so .....seems to be a Brit thing to ride the bike and try and talk over the traffic and the bike noise.......please just ride it for a while......then tell us about it......and yes I own a 1st gen zx 1400 with a trunk and ABM Handlebar kit with Givi hard bags with Corbin seat.......absolutely great.....just need my BMW when its below 50 degrees on my winter trips in Arizona and sometimes N Mexico. R
