I was given a 1994 ZX11D, unfortunately it needed a new used engine so it wasn't exactly free but now it is running like the god of speed it was from 1990 to 1996! It has an amazing amount of power and it's absolutely thrilling to ride!

Hi mate and welcome to the ZZR 1100 riders! There is no servicing on the valves to do, What may need checking is the shims and that depends on the mileage. When changing oil it tells you to fill to the upper mark in the level window. Ignore that, fill to just below the top of the site glass. Check the level within 5-10 mins after stopping the engine or it will give you a false reading. Happy riding mate.

I appreciate all the tips! Thanks for the valuable info. My owner Manuel says to check it every 6k miles, and that seems a bit excessive and costly!

@@team8s420 Agreed, that is what it says in the manual however my first ZZR 1100 did 60k miles and only needed a couple of shims replaced during that time. My present ZZR has been checked once, all shims were in spec and it has done 50k KM. You have not said what your mileage is but if the bike is new to you it might be worth checking them now but I would not check them every 6k miles. 10K maybe.

@MichaelKawasakiRider1 thanks, my bike has 26k miles on it. I changed the plugs and the number 3 plug was dirty with oil, the other three were clean. Do you have any idea what that could be?

@@team8s420 Hi mate, I would run it a bit with the new plugs and then check it again and establish if it is oil or carbon mixed with fuel. Difficult to say without seeing it first hand.
