Hey everyone
I had this Kawasaki ZX6R 2003 model for the past 7 years
I took this bike to a different country but Im not allowed to ride it with UK papers and I can’t even transfer the bike’s UK log book to the new country’s logbook because of the EU regulations.
My only option was to buy a frame and move everything from the old frame to the new frame.
This bike is 19 years old and the wet English weather did a number on it.
It has several corroded parts, bolts and the broken fairings need to be fixed and repainted.
In this case I decided to fix all the issues and have a few upgrades and change the look around the new frame.
The whole frame and wheels will get a new colour by powder coating it. The engine has an oil leak, so that needs fixing as well.
In this video I’ll be showing the whole teardown process. Enjoy

Nice to watch :) ... Is this an original Swingarm from the 03/04 Model? I also have 2003 ,636 Model but my "old lady" has a different Swingarm! I think yours is from the 05/06 Model i think! Greetings from Austria

Thanks, I appreciate your feedback. My kawa is an 03 model. Yes you’re right. I swapped out the swingarm with an 08 model swingarm. The wheel is from an 06 model. Thanks for watching 🏍️🛠️🤘

@@zrcarbon9937 ...does the 08 swingarm fit plug&play? do i need the rear suspension from the 08 model? 05 + Model swingarms look much better than the old edgy 03/04 swingarm. Thanks for your answer! :) Greetings

Yes pretty much plug and play You’ll need the 06-08 swingarm,wheel,brake calliper, rear wheel axel a custom made brake line. You’ll have to use the 03-04 swingarm axel for the fitment. It’s pretty good the 03-04 frame is the same size as the 06-08 zx6r. Probably the 09 swingarm bolts straight on as well but I’m not 100% about that.
