Was not overnight. I said the end of the year prior. When they didn’t make the playoffs. They were going to compete. This year. It’s a serious look.

Nothing was overnight. Being 21-8 since that horrific 1-6 start shows an incredible climb by a franchise and its QB that deserve it.

@@florida1289 exactly this. This franchise has been building block by block since they hired Dan Campbell. The move to get Jared there was a move for the future, and it was brilliant. And the Rams weren’t any less wise in trading for Mathew and their ready right now team.

Lions season ticket holder here. Last year was great. We did not finish the job. The expectation is the NFC Championship in Ford Field, then off to the Super Bowl. One Pride.

Yup that's what I've been telling people that this season the lions will host the NFC championship game and finally punch their ticket to the super bowl!

@@bradpalko968 we went to every home game last season except the Chicago game. This season, we ain’t missing a single 1 and we drive 2&1/2 - 3 hours each way. One Pride.

Great show, Kay! Long time Lions fan here since the early 70s. We fans are in uncharted territory now. This is so exciting. I love the demeanor of this team. I love the coaches, front office and ownership. Ford Field will be rocking every game. The fans travel well for road games. I have never been more optimistic. Can't wait for training camp!

While many NFL teams are attempting to install Sean McVay's playbook with his former Offensive Coordinators everywhere the Lions added exotic old school run plays and jumbo packages. Seattle Seahawks are the most intriguing installing a Ravens attacking defense and wide open University of Washington Husky offense. Both should make the NFC Championship as the San Jose 49ers have taken a step backwards. Also expecting Michael Penix to dominate the league while Kirk counts his money being the Dan Marino of this years draft, cheers.

NFC North - Bears have Caleb, GB has Love, Vikings are a powerhouse. Tough division this yyear.

Nothing will be easy about the NFC North this year, it could be a war of attrition everyone beating up on each other. Who stays the healthiest has the best shot but Detroit is loaded and hungrier now that they've had a taste of success .

Last year we were so close we could taste it. The disappointment of losing the NFC championship has only been fuel for this year. The Lions fixed their biggest weakness in the secondary, and players like Gibbs and LaPorta are only getting better. This is our year. #onepride

If the additions to the defensive backfield play up to expectations, If second year players like Gibbs, La Porta, Branch and Campbell improve, if they can keep Goff relatively clean, they're gonna be a tough out. I think all of that can happen. And there is depth on the roster. My hope is they play pissed-off because they should be. You only get so many grabs at the ring, time to live up to the hype and rise up to the moment. The North is going to be the toughest division in the NFC. That's okay, steel forged in a hot fire is the strongest. It's their division to lose.

The lions look pretty good on offense but that pass defense needs a lot of work or better coaching. We will see, but I would think the lions should be thanking McVay for giving them all those draft picks for Stafford then throwing in a better younger QB in Goff, the lions foundation is set for years. McVay could of won many Superbowls with Goff and kept the draft picks- thats crazy

My man you bring up something few people talk about - all the drafts we got from that trade. I am concerned about AG but that secondary has been totally revamped. It will not be a liability this year. I promise you that.

The only thing we have to thank the Rams for is releasing Brad Holmes to come be the genius the Lions needed. Successful GMs outmaneuver, outsmart, and sell their ideas for trades, and he definitely got the better of McVay and LAR when he got rid of Stafford, acquired Goff, who he knew all about, and the draft capital, which turned into several of our key current young players. When we win the Super Bowl, hopefully this coming season, the book will be closed, on the Stafford/Goff trade, and the Lions will claim the W and the Lombardi
