I have the Jackson big rig. It's 140lbs boat only. I use wheels that the boat lays on to move that dead weight. Scupper holes are the weakest part of the boat and a hard lesson to learn if they crack. Thanks for the video. It sure does look nice w all that floor space. Bret SYOTW

I absolutely love the horizontal rod storage on these PA’s. Just wish they weren’t so expensive however, if you’re going to get a Hobie you might as well get the 360 over the 180. I can’t justify a high cost if it can’t easily go in reverse like a pedal drive.

Pick you up one of the G2 floating nets. Has bigger holes in the rubber netting and doesn’t snag all your hooks!

You should check out a two drawer craftsman versatrack to put under the seat. Fits perfect, easy to strap down, and easily customizable for at your fingertip tackle organization.

Could you talk about the whole dead water deal? Guys are always talking about finding fish but what are the causes of dead water and why are certain areas more productive than others even if there is similarities between areas?

Nothing specific, but I truly appreciate your honesty, especially when it comes to products . If it's junk or overpriced you tell it like it is and that is something the fishing industry needs to hear and consumers like us need to know. Great job Beard! Keep them coming!

hey Alex rather than the duct tape to fix your net, get yourself some Great Stuff Pond & Stone. It's a water resistant expanding foam. Just spray a little bit in the handle, and it should expand and seal up the opening.

I’ve seen other videos where people have had issues with the 360 drive. Have you had any trouble? I’m hoping to get a pedal kayak soon. I don’t want to spend that kind of money only to have problems.

Hey I was thinking, you could use that Fence Post Driver i spotted on the Ground/Gravel near your Hobie PA360 as a Anchor, that hold that Big OL Heffer of a Hobie on your Honey Hole. 😂 My Native Slayer Max Propel 12.5 ain't so light neither loaded down so I get it for sure. All u have to do with the net to fix that hole in the end is take some expanding foam and fill it in there an it will seal it off an also give some more floatation just a little tip if u want to do that it's easy.

You have any issues with the 360drive squeaking while you pedal? I've heard several people complain about them starting to squeak while in use and Hobie doesent apparently offer any type of actual fix.

I’ve personally not had any issues but the dealership I bought mine from went over a list of fixes the engineering team has made to the 2021 drive.

Sometimes you buy what you want in life and live. In Australia, they are just under $8k add a trailer, sounder, and accessories and you are over $10k

Not to be an asswipe but as a fellow hobie owner I’ve been told by a bunch of people that storing it on the cart deforms the scuppers over time especially if it’s in a hot environment- I had mine setup the same way you do and hobie told me if there was any deformation it voids your warranty. I’m going to grab a flattop utility cart from uline so I can roll it back and forth into the truck bed and as long as you spread the weight out it won’t hurt it. I stole the idea from Blanchard. TBH I’m just terrified of hurting a $5000 chunk of plastic lol

Water was up 3'. Didn't see a stump. Tore wires out of transducer. Not repairable. Hummingbird 979c SI. Transducer cost $190.00. probably 13 years old. Ouch. Kayaks go even shallower.
