If you enjoy kayaking or floating down the river, the Guadalupe River is paradise. The stretch of river we travel down in this video is classic Texas Hill Country.

OK, I've lived in Texas all my life (73 years) and am familiar with a lot of the places you go (but still enjoy your videos) and really enjoy new places that I've never heard of such as Devil River around Del Rio. SO, who are you? Do you live in Texas? Are you FROM Texas? What got you interested in traveling Texas? Us old farts are just naturally nosey!! THX and keep up the good work!

Really beautiful, you know the closest i've been to a kayak lately is when one fell of the car in front of me and they didn't stop no matter what I did (they just drove faster!!)

I'm sure the fishing is great down through there. Since this may be a popular stretch of river very soon it may be better to go a little further upstream if you can.

best to start at the Guadalupe state park if you are going to fish...not far from there to nichol's landing or the $5 dollar spot at 281

How long did it take to do the 4 miles? I assume around an hour if you're pushing, and 1.5 hours taking your time?

Great video, if it was a one way 4 mile ride how do you get back with your kayak to your car. I love your videos and just found your channel. I’m definitely motavated to get out and try kayaking but I have a lot of basic questions like the one I asked. Thanks

At the intersection of Hwy 281 and the Guadalupe River is a canoe livery shown at the beginning. They will drop you off upstream at Nichols landing. Then you just simply kayak downstream back to the canoe livery. They have plenty of kayaks you can rent or bring your own.
