I don't think Morgana dislikes Lux properly speaking, she simply reacts to Lux claiming she has no darkness in her, indeed it's dangerous to be unaware of your own flaws even for a generally good person, hence why Morgana would want to contradict her.

I love the line where Kayle ults Morgana. Kayle is calling out to her sister, trying to shield her. As we all know, kayle ult can come in clutch in-game. I always imagine morgana on the verge of death and kayle shielding her, showing a tender side. And morgana calling out, knowing her sister still has human emotion, choosing to put things aside and trying to save her sister from certain death... which is totally plausible since Morg ult relies on the player to be smack-dab in the middle of the scuffle.

Some of my favorite characters in League. I really hope they delve further into their lore in the future!

Fun fact: Garen's ult is most likely Kayle smiting the enemy. He can't use magic himself to summon swords from the sky, and he also yells "Justice" when performing it. This is probably also why Garen doesn't get to choose who the "Villain" is that takes true damage from his ult instead of normal damage; Kayle is the one who decides that. EDIT: Garen's ult USED to deal true damage to whichever enemy was marked the "Villain". This seems to have changed now and it deals true damage to everyone.

You are right, Mihira (their mother) is the aspect of justice. Kayle and Morgana are the daughters of justice: punishment and penance. (At least, that's the going theory, and it fits. One is strict where the other is lenient. Neither being the universal good choice, but justice is neither dry pasta nor a wet noodle.)

What i like the most in Demacia is every part of it make sense Kayle & Morgana's story explain so much about demacian culture, their obsession for justice, Rightiousness & unflinching Nature. Their fear of magic is due to rune wars. Runeterra kayle interraction made look less zealous & more a protector but she is still selfabsorbed, and is kind of if i fall the world will too. yet she call Ryze a friend so she might not be as lost as she appear here. A good twist would be to morgana & kayle to fuse together so justice would be an eternal internal fight between absolute and emotions.

Finished watching most sections, and I learned some things about their stories watching too! During the voicelines I did shed a couple tears, the voice actors are so good at conveying the raw sadness. 😭

Great job digging in. These 2 Champions are definitely some of the most interesting sets of lore, though, they are far more straightforward then most characters' stories.

I would also recommend looking up the card art of Champion's followers and reading their flavor text on the LoR wiki! There's a lot of great lore and beautiful art in the game.

Kayle’s favour towards Garen is probably a gameplay nod. Garen’s ultimate is not his ability,he doesn’t summon a giant light sword, he just calls upon the Aspect of Justice to smite his foes, thats why he shouts “Justice”

Finally my moment has arrived. "Strange that they worship someone that actively tries to purge the city." God did that more than a handful of times and people still love him.

As big fan of both systers(especially Kayle), I want to explore their lore in total. Neither Morgana or Kayle are evil. Kayle and Morgana are both good characters with diffirent views on justice, basically two sides of same coin. From their bios and Canticle of Winged Systers we can see that everything was best when they worked together, because they united their views on justice. Kayle is retributive justice , she punishes those who break the law according to the level of their crime (for example, she will kill a murderer, but will not do so to those who committed a lesser crime.), and she also protects those who are victims of the lawbreaking. In her short story she killed the Tyrant king that brought the people to poverty, declared himself above the law and ordered the killing of the elderly. She killed him and his servants with her fire, but did not touch those who were not involved into this tyranny. One of her quotes explains her best way: "Spare the innocent, punish the wicked". Morgana is restorative justice, believes that most of even the worst sinners can be redeemed through awareness of their mistakes, and she also very connected to emotions and can feel them. In her short story she makes a tough teacher feel the pain of his student so that he realizes his mistakes and becomes better. Her quote "Mistakes shape us" explains her best way. It is also worth noting that, in fact, both sisters consider their battle a mistake - Kayle thinks her mortal part is reason of this and tries to suppress her emotions so as not to succumb to anger anymore, and Morgana blames her celestial powers for this and tries to give it up as much as possible, for example, she chained her wings. They still love each other based on their quotes and I really hope Riot will do their reunion arc once. Im glad your video is that detailed and you really tried to dive deep into their lore(only sad part you also not read their non-bio stories), awesome work!

Just 2 or 3 things: Kayle and Morgana are the 2 sides of the concept of "Just": Justice and Vengeance. Demacia knows about yordle, event if they are magic creatures. Poppy is and example. If you like Sibling stories i raccomend you about Nasus and Renekton.

In Legends of Runeterra is a card called Mihira, Aspect of Justice. I think her design explains a lot. I personally think it is really creepy.

If you like stories with the characters being siblings then i recommend you read Nasus and Renekton's story

You should read about the "Canticle of the Winged Sisters" which is Kayle & Morgana 3rd Story & her Runeterra interactions. Kayle is my favorite of the two sisters, she didn't blindly judge or resent her mother like her sister and equally liked both parents. She confronted corrupt leaders at such an early age, and when she received her powers she embraced her Heritage/Roots as a half-celestial instead of having a sense of self-hatred towards herself like Morgana, which is why I personally relate to Kayle. "With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility" and I respect Kayle because she didn't wait for the settlement to be raided before acting, she fought alongside fellow settlers to eventually form the Judicator Order, that's some serious grind and I love people like that. Having an entire Kingdom's Architecture built in your image, an entire Faith solely designed to worship you, and a Legion of Demacian Soldiers go into combat in honor of your name is completely badass.

Kayle's voicelines are genrerally delivered as though she's facing an unjust or murderous criminal or like... genocidal army, not a petty thug or tax dodger, and thus her lines are bombastic and without mercy. It's important to point out that LOREwise Kayle's 'Justice' is measured and not without compassion. It's a punishment fits the crime situation. She's not going to burn you in heavenly fire to death for stealing a loaf of bread or anything... so while she's definitively too strict, she gets a worse rep than she actually justifies. Her blind justice needs Morgana to temper it, and Morgana needs her lest she just allow everyone who shrugs and says 'I'm sorry' to go without punishment, i.e. too forgiving... or else resorts to like, actual TORTURE... which some would consider worse than death. It wouldn't be good for EITHER of them to become the Aspect of Justice alone, They're meant to be the aspects of justice TOGETHER, apart they are lonely and suffering. Riot have, themselves, admitted they accidentally made Kayle come off worse than they intended and let Morgana off a little to easy.

I think u can make part 2 for them. Their mother is really important character in universe. They came back bcs of darkins. U should react "who is Mihira?" video at Necrit's channel. Morgana didn't come to LOR yet. I believe they will continue her story next months. At 2023 season video might be related to her and darkins. We will see it very soon (this week or next week)

checking out Kayn and Rhaast would be a really interesting to see as they have some really good interactions with each other ( as well as the Odyssey Kayn skin interactions)

By the way, Garen's Ultimate is actually Kayle's divine judgement. It would defeat the ideals of Demacia if Garen DO use magic. So in order to use his ultimate, Garen prays for Kayle's blessing. And as Kayle's answer, she smites Garen's enemy with the Divine Judgement's sword.

Their mother died, that's why they inherited her sword. Aspects can die in battle the same way Pantheon (almost) did in his fight against Aatrox

So in LoR, Kayle has come back. Mihira was in the celestial realm, and Kayle had become her agent on Runeterra. She mostly hung around Targon and with her mom on the celestial plane. But the re-emergence of the Darkin had Kayle come back to stop Armageddon. She even sent a messenger to Ryze to come help and together they defeated Aatrox and Xolaani. The voice lines for all that are great.

you should watch the special interactions of Kayle in LoR, they made a video just a few days ago. There she interacts with characters like Ryze, Aatrox and also the Aspect of Justice 😶

fun fact the "this world was not ment to last" line is also a referance that aspects tried to make runeterra into a god warrior world starting with shurima,then targon,and technically id say demacia if the aspect of justice chose morgana n kayle.but ultimately there attempts as of now have failed in a way. also there isnt injustice against lux she technically outside the injustice because of garren but she idly stands by and watches her people die and be tormented why she has political power to stop it.

You should look at the KZfaq stuff that shows old Kayle vs new Kayle. The Kayle rework was quite controversial and meme'd at the time. I played a LOT of old Kayle, and I found no need to change her. However, once I got used to the first version of new Kayle, I felt like I could work with her. Then, a bu ch of changes later, and I found her balanced and OP, if you played early game perfectly. Regardless, Kayle and Morgana are some of the prettiest and most mystical looking characters in LoL, to me. Their voice lines are 100% must react.

The way Morgana said "I never did", my heart broke just as her voice broke.

Kayle and Morgana are two sides of the same coin - they both represent one side of justice. Kayle represents the Blind and Absolute Justice, where she punishes everyone equally with no room for redemption, forgiveness, or any of the sort, she does not differentiate she just smites. Morgana represents the other side of justice - one that listens and understands before it acts. She represents compassion and forgiveness - but also punishment and pain, showing that one must pay for their crime to be forgiven though the punishment should match the crime. Together they represent justice as a whole - with the two of them being the two sides of it as they are twins, and the daughters of the Aspect of Justice, or rather the host of said aspect.

Also in Lore They are the founders of Demcia without them Demacia would never exist in lore.

I think the irony of the aspect of justice saying nothing is above the law when the king is pretty much doing the exact same thing as her is pertinent. Kayle makes such an impact on the world because she recognizes her power as an aspect, but views mortality as corrupt and inferior while still being a mortal just with borrowed power. She is not so alien and detached that she can't empathize, but she's so obsessed with the world she thought her mother wanted she stopped seeing people as people. Morgana on the other hand, is one of the most benevolent beings on runeterra, but she's so spiteful towards her mother and what kayle became that she rejects her ascension. She knows there's wrongs in the world, but she refuses to use her power in more than passing so the world forgot her.

Justice (Kayle) and Forgiveness (Morgana). There would be no splitting skies if the two could work perfectly. But they couldn't. If ever they start a fight again, Morgana couldn't stop Kayle from raining the skies with light of Justice after giving up part of her power to her sister. But that also won't stop her from protecting people who seeks forgiveness and stop that light on killing those who seeks redemption.

I think you misunderstood why Morgana is still staying on Demacia (besides the hope for humanity) She stays, because she knows that Kayle might one day come to judge them all, and she needs to be there to stop her. And, according to my knowledge (might be wrong) Mihira is dead, and when she was about to die, sent out her sword to Kayle and Morgana (one sword that can be split into dual ones) Xolaani in LoR actually consumed the power of Mihira and was/is the threath that made Kayle descend once again, but not in Demacia tho

I haven't finished the video yet, but I would like to suggest Morgana's voicelines in Spanish, more specifically the skin "Morgana La Llorona". The dialogs are inspired in the latin-american legend of "La Llorona" and DEAR GOD SHE SOUNDS SCARY AF.

Little fun fact. In her attempt to become perfect Kayle turned away from actual justice and became an unfeeling god, smiting mortals for smallest of crimes. While Morgana shows that justice isnt black and white, thus Morgana is closer to the aspects original "goal". This is also represented in the game with Kayle starting with just 2 wings and having to become a killing machine to earn her other 4, even then her wings dissappear when shes slain. Morgana though already has her all 6 wings and they dont dissapear

Stealing this comment from another Kayle/Morgana reaction that really sums up my thoughts on them very well: Here are the (3) reasons why I love Morgana as a character but always choose Kayle over her. (1) During the Battle of Zeffira, Kayle was bloodied and wounded fighting on the frontlines, she cried out to Morgana for help but instead of helping her she ignored kayles cries and went to help the people in the city instead. - To be fair Kayle did not know that the enemies slipped into the city but Morgana choosing people she doesn't even know over her sister's life is kinda crazy to me. This event was the one that made Kayle lose trust in Morgana. (2) Kayle's followers the Judicators hated Kayle's softness towards Morgana, Ronas who is Kayle's disciple decided to (arrest) Morgana and her followers for the evil crimes they committed, Morgana shackled Ronas and burned him to death. - Morgana is able to bind people in chains without hurting them yet she decided to kill him to kill a Cop/Judicator because she believes the criminals who follow her can all be rehabilitated and don't need jail time. - And when the people started rioting, Morgana disappears and doesn't stop the Riot. Kayle comes back to find Rona's burnt corpse and people Rioting, she was consumed by rage and turns the city upside down. - Then Morgana shows up, flies to the skies, and starts fighting Kayle, not explaining anything to her or trying to calm her down, and when their father died because of their irresponsible battle. - Kayle acknowledges that her emotions got her father killed so she left for Mount Targon to rid herself of her weakness and find her mother but Morgana, on the other hand, goes on a tangent and completely blames Kayle and takes no responsibility. (3) As you saw in the interaction Morgana believes Kayle's way of doing things is wrong because true justice needs compassion and that her way of doing things is better. Kayle has gone to the celestial realm, this is the perfect time for Morgana to show a better way for Demacia through her actions but she decided to spend hundreds of years in a forest doing nothing but waiting for Kayle to return. - Noxus Expansion happened she did nothing. - Noxian Invasion happened she did nothing. - The Anti-Mage policy happened she did nothing. - The Mage Oppressed happened she did nothing. - Sylas's Mage Rebellion happened she did nothing. - Demacian Meltridge Turmoil happened she did nothing. - Sylas Betrayal & Alliance with Freljord happened she did nothing. - Viego's Ruination Reached Demacian and she still did nothing. I think Morgana is lazy, jealous, hateful and a hypocrite, I can't wait for Kayle to return from the Celestial Realm/Targon Prime she's gonna be overpowered and things will finally change.
