This is a sign that the walls are closing in on her. That kind of degradation of maturity and tone often happens when someone feels cornered or like they've been rejected by their society. You start insulting back and saying things to build up your own confidence. The same behaviors we associate with villains in stories. It's all falling apart for her party, she said aloud that she knows republicans are going to take revenge on them once they get total control, kick them off their committees etc., and identity politics, which is her whole brand, is getting bounced out by the American voter.
