I picked up a used one for my kid. The rear brake is about useless. I have tried to adjust the sables to tighten it up and that doesnt seem to be working. The book that came with it states you may need to bleed the brakes- do these have fluid in them or are they just a lever and cable? Can you buy just pads?

Is there any way to bleed brakes on these to get them to work after a fall? My son crashed his on day one and lost all brake fluid

That’s the reason I had to swap my son’s rear brake. The replacement cost me about $60, but fixing and bleeding would be a better option if parts were available. I had to replace the whole brake assembly (caliper to lever) I was looking to find a bleeder valve to replace the plug on the caliper.
