Dont let it sit on your bed or any uneven surface. I did that and my brand new quest3 overheated on the first day

Not playing pcvr isnt a mistake Quest was built to be a portable vr headset, its why it has its own internal hardware to run games on it So its not a mistake But you will miss out on pcvr stuff

Easy fix for Mistake 14): Get a tiny USB IR Light that attaches to the side of your Quest 2 - cheap, easy fix, let's you play in the dark, and even turns your quest 2 into a cheap night vision goggle.

Can confirm everybody needs to play RecRoom in vr. Especially if you're into stuff like videogame development/design or if you're interested in getting involved in it but dnt know where to start! Its free and fun AND you can hang out wjth other creators all day.

I've wanted a vr headset for about 4 years, and I have asked for one every year for my birthday or Christmas but still haven't gotten one yet. I do understand we don't have much money now, but I'm about 95% sure I'm not getting one this year either... I came to my senses and realized, so I decided to start saving my money and now I have just enough money to buy my own headset. I'm waiting till after Christmas before I buy anything cuz I don't wanna have 2.

I remember the first time (probably in 2021) I cleaned my headset, i used a random sock for cleaning EVERYTHING. From the lenses inside, my sweat dirty controllers and the inside of the headset, but the thing is that I still do it to this day-

Thanks dude, my wife and I are getting Quest 2 headsets next payday and some of these errors I would definitely have made. I tried out Apollo 13 by VRE when I met the company's CEO Dave Whelen years ago and was blown away (that company failed as he wanted to provide virtual education by letting users attend lectures in Harvard, Yale etc forgetting that these institutions cost money). He should have stuck to entertainment! I wonder what other applications VR has? Be good to interview you (I'm a journalist, finance mainly) as there's gotta be ways to monetise the platform which I thought would have been revealed during Covid

Thanks man. I've just ordered mine from Target and it should arrive this week. Super excited for it to arrive and this video helped me learn more about VR and I'm most excited to play Job Simulator cause that was my dream since I was 7 years old. And now I can finally play it. i had my quest 2 for a few years now and have used it for almost everyday and loved every moment of it. The problem came when first few months in the straps broke off so the controllers started slipping out of my hands every now and then and i tried getting some controller strap things from amazon but they were cheap and didn't help at all and then about 4 or so months ago my quest broke on me. Main thing i do in vr is boxing as it helps me train for my MMA classes to improve my striking and accuracy and i guess i was sweating wayy too much and it managed to leak into the headset and broke one day mid sesh but my controllers were also on their last legs as i couldn't play anything but that game since it kept spinning me in circles and crouching me randomly because of how broken the controllers were, i got a new one ordered now and i also got the knuckle straps with it so no more broken controllers.

Never EVER use paper to clean lenses/glasses. As someone who has been wearing glasses ever since I was 2 years old, I would never dare try to clean my Quest 2 lenses with any kind of paper

Just to put it out the the quest 2 charging cable does not work as a connector to your pc, u need to buy a connector online, I bought a super long one incase I need to keep it attached to pc when I play

if you arent using the elite strap that is* as someone who also uses rift s im not a huge fan of the halo straps actually, I prefer the thin Velcro( I still think the video has lots of good tips though)

I dont like sidequest... but a link canle works pretty well. Mostly bc airlink doesn't work

Air link works pretty good, but you have to setup a few extra things. The most important thing is not using your main router, you need one specifically for the VR headset. I setup a 5Ghz router as an access point (connected into an ethernet (non WAN) and made a sacrifice of turning the data rate to 40mbps-80mbps whichever works best. I also set SteamVR to beta, and oculus to beta. Then I got some good results.

the quest 2 has a pretty hard time overheating because of the hardware limitations put by meta but in rara cases it can anyways :(

Everyone should get a set of cheap lense protectors. Best decision ever, those can be easily replaced and you won't need to be so careful when cleaning them

the easy way to fix most of the problems like being light headed, over heating headset and also can help you stay ( for the most part ) put, ( still use a small carpet) etc. and the east fix to all of these problems is drum role please ... a room cooler personally I use a black decker.
