With Donkey Kong Country 2 being one of my favourite titles for any console, this looks right up my alley.

@@NoisyPixelNews it’s weird. I’ve never seen DKC2 as being a difficult game. But I’ve spoken to a few people in the last couple weeks who claim otherwise. Maybe I just like difficult games? I’m not sure.

@@spunkyfidget70 Yeah you are right. DKC 2 is not hard at all if you compare it to this game. There's maybe a couple of levels in it where you'll die a couple of times but not like this game Kaze.

This just released on PS4/Xbox and I'm definitely going to get it. It's only $30 for the physical version. I just love supporting fun games like this.

About two-thirds of the game has a moderate difficulty level...but the last one-third is near impossible to complete with the gem bonuses. The final boss has too many stages with zero checkpoints.

Great review. Saw this earlier on NintendoLife and saw it was a Donkey Kong homage, and preordered after they said it was great. Liked your review a lot, too. I also don't like autoscroll, so that's unfortunate to hear. Otherwise, still just as excited. Liked and subbed

Just got this game and enjoying it so far. The only thing I can complain about at the moment is the soundtrack... It's just a bit weak, and nothing memorable about it, which is sad considering how beautiful the visuals are in Kaze. I'd recommend this game to friends. 👍

If you love Donkey Kong Counrtry you will definitely love this game! I paid $10 for it. Great game play and unique in its own ways. A must play

Thanks for talking about the memorization aspect. I was interested in this game but memorization-based 2d games is one the "genres" I dislike the most. I'll pass on this one but might consider it if it gets a very deep discount.

Donkey Kong Country 2 and Super Mario 3 are a lot easier than Kaze. What makes them easier is because the levels are a lot shorter with bosses. They give you plenty of lives. Kaze and new gen games are harder because of the level designs like the Auto scrolling and bosses. I feel that Kaze those Lizard stages where he auto scrolls it's too much memorization, Cheap deaths because you forgot to press jump or nose dive at a green enemy you bounce off of.

I boight this game at discount price as I found it pretty.... Man I regret it..... I played DKC 2 and DKC 3 but this game is waayyyyy harder... very frustrating.

After much research and watching a 100% playthrough, I've one word to describe this game: Uninspired. I can't give it more than 7/10.

@@Jack-nj9pi Same reason you won't try eating a salmon sandwich if you know you dislike salmon. And I did play the demo and it confirmed my intuition that this is below my standards.

@@HighLanderPonyYT how the heck do you know u dont like salmon if u never tried it lol a demo to any game shows you the first hour if that to any game, just say your not interested. You cant rate a game you never played and to say uninspired is even more worse. oh well

@@Jack-nj9pi I played tons of platformers before, I can tell what I like and dislike. It is uninspired because a lot of it is just Donkey Kong Country 2 but done worse.
