Hey, all! Time for another song dub! It's "Kaze to Issho ni" (Together With the Wind), the Japanese ending theme of the first Pokémon movie, in English!
This is such a great song. I watched this movie growing up, and it sucks that it never made it into the official English dub. I figured that we could try to make up for that by putting the song into English ourselves!
Hope you all enjoy this song dub, and huge thanks to everyone involved, along with all of those who are watching!

Part of me believes that this is a song Mewtwo sings to himself- it starts with Ai, in his memory, but then it flash-forwards to Mewtwo. After a while, he is somewhat breaking down from being alone, and in the ending chorus lines, Ai joins him again where he finally gets to smile and cry tears of joy- seeing the one true friend he made... before being greeted by his brand new friends after waking up. You can see him lift up from his seat, and a single tear splashes down- revealing a small, albeit charred photograph of him, Ai, and the cloned starters- and his tear had formed a heart in between him and Ai. This song makes me think of how Mewtwo knows Ai is with him- in spirit and in his heart, forever.

Hey, all! Time for another song dub! It's "Kaze to Issho ni" (Together With the Wind), the Japanese ending theme of the first Pokémon movie, in English! This song dub will be featured in the Pokémon Uncut project by Tommy Ogburn (Oshawott501). This is a project that aims to create an uncut version of the English dub of the Pokémon anime, complete with the original Japanese soundtrack. Every episode of the TV series and every movie will be included. Link to the uncut first film coming soon! Tommy came into contact with me last year asking me if I could help with his project. I agreed, and offered to help dub this song for him! I had actually already adapted this song into English several years ago, but I felt that the lyrics weren't up to part with my current standards. Because of this, I asked Emii, a fellow lyricist, to edit the lyrics and improve them. While she did a good job at this, I eventually decided that I wanted to re-adapt the song from scratch, so I did just that! These new lyrics are definitely better than my old ones, from my perspective. Through making a Facebook post saying that I was looking for a vocalist for this song, I found Tsurin. She sung this song beautifully, and I'm really glad she was able to be our lead. I have worked with EiS (formerly Driasaur) before, so I asked him if he wanted to do the secondary vocals, and he accepted! He also did a fantastic job with his parts, and it was great having him in here! Please enjoy the music, and be sure to look forward to Pokémon Uncut!

Good work on creating an english version of Kaze to Issho ni. Your lyrics, with some differences are still faithful to the original. I really enjoyed it!

Thank you for this dub! It is a lovely rendition. When I was a kid, in the US, I saw Mewtwo Strikes Back in Japanese without subtitles (and without the vignette about Ai) before the English dub came out. This song is enchanting and it stuck with me, even without knowing the words!

Briana You know nothing about Aitsu? You must have watched the original theatrical version on VHS. That's great. That is the one where it has hand-drawn animation before the Kanzenban added the Mewtwo short, and the CG over the painted animation.

Truth Kindness Full nerd disclosure - I won a Pokemon TCG tournament at a small hobby shop and the prize was a VHS copy. I am pretty sure it was bootlegged, too. 😆

Pokemon night and stay hydrated with a "Kaze To Issho Ni" and have been on a wonderful journey with my daughter on a young girl our songs are singing away from Mewtwo in her new clubhouse part time with doodles of merry day question an adventure fantasy movie after all friend Ash Ketchum and friends Brock, Misty and Pikachu were born with a child which a the movies.

I sadly can't at this time. I would need to commission a custom backing track, as well as contact the original vocalists to make sure they get a revenue split. I may do it in the future, though!

We’re a miracle may suit the theatrical cut versiin. But as for DC it’s THIS and ONLY THIS. Seriously DC ‘s more focused on Mewtwo than on Ash and Co.we saw how dark and tragic his origin was we saw what turned him into villain and this song fits him and his redemption much more

Maybe if Disney had the licence tae dub Pokémon and not 4 Kids, they might’ve put this song in Mewtwo Strikes Back. Unfortunately that probably would’ve come with it’s own issues, since Disney are evil. Not that 4 Kids were a good company, and I’d rather Disney dubbed the anime but Disney are kinda terrifying because they own most of the companies in the world...
