Bozeman PD gave me a parking ticket when I parked my family camping trailer in front of my house a couple years ago. Did the ordinance change, or are they not enforcing it?

No----system stacked against hard working taxpayers.

You can't fine someone for being in a public space when they have no where else to go. The ordinance didn't change, the difference is you have a home, they don't.

Maybe Bozeman should pass a no camping ordinance inside the city limits, build a campground just outside of the city limits and move all of the trailers and tents there? Free camping in the campground only.

There would affordable housing in a free society....we don't exist in a free society. Your government at all levels makes it impossible for people with capital to come in and build affordable housing. Blame your government!

I'm ashamed to call this city my home. Shame on the city of Bozeman for allowing this to get so far out of control. Something has to be done NOW.
@kennethsilvestri587411 ай бұрын
Hmm..,perhaps they wanted to allow it to get out of control so they could push their “affordable” housing agenda that benefits their developer donors.

Vote Republican and make a change in Bozeman. It’s been electing Democrats for far too long

Here's a solution, that even worked in Los Angeles. Got a construction water truck. turn the water fan vertical, go by around 10pm fan spray return spray again, bull horn them saying we'll be back. They'll move quickly, especially with fall and winter lurking around the corner

@@MILITARYSIMULATEDWARFARE I'd get a job, I'd get two jobs or more, digging a ditch, cleaning out sewers, whatever it takes for "me" to feed and clothe my family. @@donl5158 Before the pandemic it was estimated that 30% of homeless people had full time jobs. Now after the pandemic, and especially in Bozeman where the cost of living is so high, I am willing to bet that number is much higher. You should not assume just because someone is homeless they are lazy and unemployed.

I am sorry, but "keep Bozeman Bozeman"? Does he think people are moving to Bozeman just to live on the streets? And KBZK instead of just reporting the side that demonizes homeless people, how about you go talk to some of those people living on the streets and get their side of the story. People are homeless in Bozeman because the cost of rent in Bozeman is 61% higher compared to the national average.

I am sure that 1% Dane would happily have his taxes raised so that he is fairly taxed like a normal person and also pay living wages where people can actually afford a place to live. The simple fact is that wages have not kept up with inflation and taxes on the wealthy keep going down. Trickle-down economics do not work. The Government is always bailing out big business. It is corporate socialism but it is rugged individualism for the poor and middle class.

Why would entitled 🏠 ppl have a frustration with homeless ppl that have ROLLING home? a bit of coveting of free/mobile lifestyle?

I challenge him to go up to any of the campers and start a conversation of who they are and how they got there. I don't see anyone in the streets using dope. People are always afraid of people they don't know. Get to know them why don't you or get on with your life. It's a free country for people to travel.
