Tommy said Gabriel was too old and Mr. Varga respectfully showed him why you have to respect your opponent regardless of age. Especially if your opponent is a 6x World champion kickboxer.

@@omegaone997 Yeah he's fun to watch because he's explosive, has confidence and is very agressive, but he's technique is waaaay off. Varga is a perfectionist.

@@LeonardoRamos01 Aghayev is a Karate Legend, but Gabriel brings that world champion strategy that will force KC into an evolution.. if it kicks off, Varga will be remembered as a founding father of the sport

@@LeonardoRamos01 yes that's a problem with most striking sports apart from kickboxing or boxing. Not enough focus on footwork, fients, head movement, overall strategy. Many fights turning into brawls

Gabriel Varga's body functions like the body of a 27 yo not a 37 yo. Everything is still there, chin, speed, endurance, technique, power, flexibility.. it's incredible!

Gabriel is a phenomenal fighter and fits into this company very well. His style of kickboxing is very difficult for sport karate fighters to adapt to plus he's a great fight analyst

When fighting a guy like Varga you really need to work on lateral movement, because this guy has insane cardio and he will pressure you the whole fight.

Great fight, some wild action. This ruleset is showing to be better than kickboxing and sure is better than one fc muay thai.

You can tell that Azouz doesn't have full contact formation by the way he stands in the square. Definitely needs some cross-training with kyokushin or must thai. Still, entertaining right.

Just goes to show the level of karate as a combat sport compared to other stuff. It's just mma with no submissions and I'm here for it lol. Gameplan should be to throw a shot, clinch, close the distance and not give the opponent chance to throw kicks lol. Muaythai and kickboxers that focuses on the hands are going to have a field day.

The one time muay thai ever fought Karate with takedowns allowed it was a 3v3 tourney & the muay thai losts 2-1. One of the fights like karate guy just took him down & beat him up easily muay thai players can’t defend any grappling technique if their wife & children depended on it

Gabriel Verga has really shown the sportmanship of a champion. Got headbutted twice and still went on to rip apart and destroy his opponent. Tommy was only 23, still plenty of space to improve

To beat varga you have to really think and make smart decisions. Athleticism, explosiveness, and flashiness isn’t enough. You need a game plan when you’re coming against someone like him

I hope Karate Combat becomes the umbrella sport for all strikers, similar to how Sambo and lately No Gi BJJ has become for grapplers. Varga will possibly go down as one of the early Pioneers of the sport

That won’t ever happen because no low kicks to the thigh. Disarms all the knockdown styles. No Kyokushin or Shinkyokushin or World Oyama Karate No Shin Karate or Seidokaikan No Ashihara or Enshin karate No Shidokan or KanSuiryu or Byakuren Kaikan No Seiwaikan Goju Ryu or Nippon Kempo
