Cool to see the SD40's making their way down there! I'm in Ontario Canada, we've been getting alot of KCS gevo, AC44, and SD70's but 90% of the time they are trailing because legally locomotives can't lead in Canada without hot plates. I think only a few KCS units have actually gotten the upgrade because a couple have led into Toronto every week. No smaller power yet.

I’ve been impressed by how little smaller power has traversed the former systems. I know some KCS Geeps got to Davenport, but that’s it to my knowledge.

Keep an eye out for some red SD40s with flared radiators! CP rebuilt a number of SD40-2s as SD30C-ECOs and theyve been roaming all over Canada and the Northern US. Might see some make their way south soon.

5000 series! As far as rebuilds go, they are some of the more attractive

@@LouisianaRailProductions You can have all the GP20C-ECO's if you want lol my local cpkc job is almost exclusively ecos leading and they always put the GP38's in the middle. We are sick of them 🤣

Great stuff, I had been wondering if the former KCS lines had seen any CP local power yet so this answers alot of questions. Up here in the northeast it's an almost endless supply of GP20C-ECO's so those EMD Belle's looked equally awesome!

We caught the 6024 leading the Zwolle dodger back down to Leesville at the end of December...fun chasing day that was.

Not sure of the exact number left, but CPKC has been repainting the remaining GMD SD40-2’s into the golden beaver. There were 4 in the Davenport Area this week that have come down from Saint Paul.

Give us are SD40-2 back. also side note 6024 is one of few CP SD40-2's with working class lights tho never turned on in must cases you may get lucky and have a crew that turns them on by mistake or on purpose.

I saw 6024 a few years ago before its 5 gallon overhaul. Its too bad, because CP took out a lot of the remaining multimark paint jobs that were in good condition still.
