@@ranger.rail3580 Steam is done for the year. May was the last outing for 400. Probably will be a while before steam is back at TSRR.

Man!!!!! ...That brought back a lot of memories of my days growing up as a boy in Jonesboro... played along those tracks by the Jonesboro City Hall when I was 8 yrs old!!! (put pennies on the tracks to be flattened by the box cars in the spur when they would switch) It was there that I met a great man, Mr. Arley Overstreet, from El Dorado AR...Rock Island conductor, who was kind to me, but very cautious in his admonitions to me to "be careful" beside those tracks!!! I "kept up" with Arley until he passed away several years ago. I can almost bet you that those rails are much older than me... 75 this year... thus the "slow order" on all of those tracks. This video "took me back in time!!".....THANKS!!!!

Canadian Pacific 2816 steam locomotive, pulling three Diesel-electic locomotives, and train of various vocation cars, nice sights, sounds, scenery video! Nice addition are segment glipses of CP 2816 locomotive, along with interior of a couple carriages and Dome Car. Kudos to Canadian Pacific, and all the talented, skilled, dedicated people involved in restoring CP 2816, rail cars, and upkeep. Cheers to all at Canadian Pacific crews, for tour of CAN, US, Mex so everyday folks could see living history. also Thank you for video!

Didn't the KCS once serve the Dodson mill? Seems I remember some of the old grey GPs running through years ago
@ronnievail18568 күн бұрын
That would be correct... I used to generate the workorders for that facility (and the glue plant!) for the KCS in the Shreveport Service Center before I retired in 2016. And of course, I talked to the folks at the Hodge paper mill almost daily!
