What Curry and Durant did was allow the team to stay mostly on pace when either of them got injured as they both tend to do and did during their time together. They got to the finals largely without Durant in 19, played a series without curry in 18 I think. Went 14-2 or something without KD his first year there. From that standpoint it was genius and a no brainer for them to join forces. But the warriors would’ve beat that Cavs team either way
