The fact that seeing Ke Huy jumping for joy screaming "we did it, we did it" made Brendan cry fresh tears again was so wholesome. Give me a friendship that lasted 32yr like these guys.

@@tibormarochini7892 seems like u folks r too young to understand lol 30 yrs ago was the age of phone books, if u didnt exchange phone numbers u may never see the person again... cell phones wasnt really a huge thing yet, they were much more expensive than our iphones and both of them werent even acting or gotten into any major roles... i wouldnt be surprised if they lost contact ... seeing a long lost frd again from 30+ yrs ago and getting oscars together, i would be jumping around like he did

I can't even begin to tell you how amazing it feels seeing these guys get the love and attention they deserve. Especially Brendan. Ever since The Mummy nearly a quarter of a century ago I've been screaming that this man deserves more credit and better, meatier roles. Now he's gonna get them in spades. He's going to be beating off the offers. As it should be.

100% I remember seeing him on some panel show maybe 5/6 years ago? He was still feeling painfully shy and in full 'imposter syndrome' doubts. And then over the years since he'd appear here and there and you could see he was getting his belief and confidence back a bit more. And now.......this film and its/his undeniable success. AAAND he uses these opportunities to praise the other people he works with and who have helped him. GIVE HIM ALL THE AWARDS!

Pity though that the 2 actors who embody all what Holly wood should/could/would have been are the ones that were shunted by the same industry and represent it the least nowadays. I am a huge fan of both of them for 3 decades now but this was a blip. It will probably never happen again.

Even if they weren't in Encino Man together, I feel like they'd still be this happy for each other. Game recognizes game. These two men have been a huge reason why I've enjoyed this Awards season so much. For me this year, it wasn't about glitz and glamour or a horse race; it was an chance to spend time with & celebrate the kind of character that develops when you endure struggle with grace. I think of the words "we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame.." (Romans 5:3-5) The Oscar wins were just the icing on the cake (and proof that hope does not disappoint!)

I love that the theme of this awards season has been forgotten or chronically overlooked talents finally getting their recognition and 2nd big break later in life! I am normally very cynical about all the awards shows, but ngl, this season hit me in the feels. Brendan Fraser, Ke Huy Quan, Michelle Yeoh, Jennifer Coolidge are all so deserving!

These two are dangerously likable. You just CANNOT not like them! Ke Huy Quan had that really cute, charismatic, little kid energy when he was younger and somehow, he STILL has that same magetism as a middle aged man! How?! That's impossible! Interviews with people like this, over awards given for performances like this, with the gratitude and humility displayed, is the magic that the Oscars seems to have been without for so long. Four underdog, comeback stories, crowned with awards accepted with grace, and genuine appreciation. If this kind of trend continues, I may actually start watching the Oscars again, instead of just YouTubing the results.

This year's Oscars was just sooooo ridiculously satisfying! I was just in tears by the end of it because there wasn't even 1 category that i feel they selected the wrong person. The ceremony was really enjoyable on top of all that! Thank freaking god Will Smith was far away from that stage!

Honestly a beautiful moment. I’m not a fan of award shows, both those two men are so deserving. Two “forgotten” great actors made amazing comebacks in their respective careers and have done so with such incredible courage and dedication. The gratitude they have and the camaraderie from over 20 yrs ago with their past cast mates has been one of the most wholesome things to come out of Hollywood in quite a while.

@@jedijones the way the Elvis role was laid out did not allow for much outside of impersonation. Austin did a wonderful job with the limited script/part he was given but the Academy chose wisely. He's going to have more powerful roles in the future and will have more nominations coming his way--he's a talented young dude.

FINALLY !!!! an Oscar awarded to an artist(s) who deserved it, and not just based on name recognition or trend of the month. These 2 embody what we normal people see as a true Hollywood Star, Brendan Fraser and Ke Huy Quan I am proud to be a fan of yours and thank you for the many hours of joy I have had watching your movies over and over. Encino Man and Goonies will forever be in my 10 ten list.

This made my heart burst. I can't even begin to describe the immense amount of happiness that I'm feeling seeing these two so happy. This was the year of comebacks, and both of them deserved their respective wins.

I can’t imagine the anxiety and stress of being an actor waiting and waiting for the phone to ring to get a chance at the next big break. I love how the winners remain humble and appreciative of all the support they received through the years of ups and downs. Congrats!

Ke Huy Kuan was part of my childhood in the 1980s with the "Goonies" Brendan Fraser was part of my Jr high and high school years in the 1990s with "Encino Man" and the "Mummy" franchise.and to think these two we forgotten actors in Hollywood to comeback and win an Oscar each was truly a comeback story of the year.kudos to both of them and may they find success in the film industry once again.

What is so wonderful about this time in movie history is that it happened after the nastiness and violence of Last year. It's so refreshing to see these two men, Brendan and Ke, actually being authentically happy, excited, amazed, thankful and humbled by the hype surrounding their return to movies. These two awesome men seem so genuine and I'm really happy for them both.

Aww. Encino Man is one of my childhood movies and who knew that 21 years later these two amazing men would be nominated for Oscar's their first time on the same night after taking acting breaks and both win? ❤

This year's Oscar has been really special. I was genuinely happy for all the actors who won, I love them all so much! Not to mention, witnessing this incredible comeback for both of Ke Huy Quan and Brendan Fraser, has been super wholesome.

Brendan so deserved this! His acting was so gut wrenching and powerful! So happy for both of them, their joy was overshadowed by their humility, gratitude, and generosity! I hope the roles keep coming for them, they must be amazing to work with!
