Every time I listen to this beautiful song , my heart cracks up open... I cant stop the tears coming down my face. Tim is such a genius putting into musical poetry raw deep emotions. Very few composers have this gift. Love him and Love Keane with all my soul till my last breath!

Jesus Christ. Such a heart breaking song, lol. Flawless vocal delivery to match the delicacy of “a fine thread”. Lyrics of the song is pure poetry. The open ended ending of the song gives a sense of unfinished business due to hopes that maybe things can still be fixed somehow. Just pure genius. Even the slight tango sounding vibe. Just beautiful.

Cause and effect is a really beautiful album, having been through the break up of a long term relationship, of 20 years, and two children,these songs speak to my heart, thank you Tim for being so honest about how difficult a break up like this is ❤❤❤❤ your music always soothes the soul , I do hope there is more to come

This new album is filled with great songs. I love the gentleness of this song... and those beautiful elegant string sounds! I'm enjoying these songs as much as I enjoyed songs from Hope and Fears, and Under the Iron Sea - the two albums that made me love Keane.

With this new album release, I am so tempted to go walking around town at midnight singing these songs out loud while listening to them here on KZfaq. I have no shame. Keane is great, and it wouldn't be the first time I've sung their songs walking around at night. (Don't worry. I won't disturb sleeping people. I stick by major roads where the cars that zoom by are surely louder than me.)

It's just what I'm living, maybe our time has passed and it hurt to see that suffering in your eyes, but I can't console you because you don't want me near you and KEANE seems to have made this song thinking about my relationship. Maybe I should mature and accept it, I hold on to what I feel for you and I met you and I know you love me, but that it hurts Your heart and I feel idiotic. I can't stop thinking about you and this song is part of this separation.

I couldn't have asked for anything better in music than to have another Keane album...and this one is so much more than what I even expected..its simply fabulous! The lyrics, the music, the soul of each song, the feeling that each song seems to relate to something that most of us have experienced in some way or other..I love your music Keane! and cannot wait to see you live in Seattle!!

Thanks, Keane. This song, from the very first time I listened to, I felt ike it had been waiting for me (and all of us, Keane's true fans) all this time. "Thread" drives me through a lot of memories, bright and dark ones, I really enjoy this. My favorite song of this album.
