BMW G30 Cracked Headlight Repair , Lens Replaced

Hello . in this episode I will restore the headlights to this beautiful BMW G30 5 series, it has a cracked headlight lens and because of this water and dirt got into the headlight , the LED and LASER headlights are very sensitive to moisture, but miraculously this headlight escaped without any defects . I would replace the lens with a new one clean the headlight on the inside and I will replace and at the other headlight the lens also with a new one so that no differences can be seen between the two headlights, everything went perfectly without problems and now the car looks impeccable with the new headlights

Bro thank you so much! I had no clue how to remove the front bumper and disconnect the front bumper camera. This video illustrated that wasn't necessary to remove the grille housing or the camera to remove the bumper. 😃

Thank you so much for posting. You have no idea how glad I am I found this video. I naively thought I could take the front bumper off my G31 (I wish to install front lip). However I got stuck after freeing the bumper - no clue how to unplug the electrics and headlight washer. After seeing your video I will continue today to give it a go. Thank you so much

@@MOvidiu I got the bumper off eventually. But had to break the electric connectors, where they attach to the white brackets (those teeth / grooves). Just found it impossible to release them. Used tape to fix them when put them bumper back on

Wow amazing job, very well done. I enoy your videos! I'm thinking about updating my normal led headlights to the headlights in the video (icon lights) and wonder if I can take over the headlight module since my standard headlights are already cornering and adaptive. Coding and teach in shouldn't be a problem for me. But I’m unsure regarding the moduls, it would me much cheaper if i could take over mine.

@@JorgeSanchez-xm7pc maybe China, but some cheap quality. For the moment they aren't aftermarket parts of headlight. Only if you get from a doner car that was crushed. So if you have problems buy a new one or try with used

Again I have to say it.... he’s the Michael Jordan of these repairs. After being extremely meticulous with these repairs he cleans and lubes surrounding parts. Many times I’ve gotten repairs to find out a few months later a simple o-ring has failed

you have to flash the TRSVC with ESYS, there is no software on it, thats why the ECU is blue. I can help if needed over REMOTE

What about Renault LED headlight, it is not butyl its not getting soft because when heating, the glue is hard like front glass adhesive polyurethane, can it be taken apart like yours? Where did you bought a brand new lense?

Hey, where did you get your lens cover from? Somebody backed into my 2018 for 440 grand coupe and cracked the headlight lens so would love to replace it the way you did instead of the four almost $5000 BMW wanted to charge me to replace the entire headlight if you could help appointment in the right direction to get a lens I would be very grateful and appreciative for your help in time.

Hi, do you know how to change from LHD to RHD without disassembling the cover of headlights, in my country regulation is RHD but the seller sent to me LHD version and the seller don't want to return the headlight, the headlights is iconic adaptive led for G30 like in this video. Thanks in advance.

O sa iti fac niste incalzitoare siliconice pe care sa le aplici in jurul ecranului de plexiglass, pentru a-l incalzi si a-l desprinde mai usor. Sunt ca niste cureluse care se lipesc unde ai nevoie de transfer termic si pot fi termostatate.

It could be the pressure of the water jets in the car wash, forcing water past the seals. Or it could be that some car washes use warm water and the temperature difference from outside to inside causes condensation.

If you do not mind, I have a question: by disconnecting the radar, sensor, lights, etc (I assume battery needs to be disconnected first), without altering anything but only the lens, do I have to recode the car? Are you able to do a video showing the central and rear jacking points on this car? A lot of the videos have jacking points up until the f series only. None for the G series. I have a G32 and it would also help me as I get mixed messages as if I can use a central jacking point on this model.

Hello , for your car in technical information there are 4 jacking points it does not have a central lifting point, only the 4 pads under the rocker panels, This is the warning from TIS : The vehicle may only be raised with the vehicle hoist at the four jacking points.

That seems like a problem. How is this vehicle meant to be jacked up and worked under? For example if I need to change brakes I jack the car up on the jacking point as you said but I need to place a jack stand somewhere to make the car stable. Where would you suggest this goes?

Hello, I can't help you with that, you need to find someone in your area or to doit yourself, but be careful it is a hard thing to do, unfortunately there is no paint for the silver pieces ( they are aluminized in vaccum)

How do you deal with butyl glueing Hella headlights (like on F20 LCI), they have no screws to hold lens cover, only some stupid U-shaped nails that are burned through the cover and housing. I have tried before to put these in but that was not really possible. For now I'm thinking to put some regular U-clips around the edges of the lense (as on AL headlight like from BMW F45 LCI) On the other set of Hella headlights for a Renault the lense comes apart a bit, no big moisture problems but body lines are a bit weird due to this

It's a solution for cleaning windows, but you don't have to press hard because that layer thin

Someone's been messing about with the software, it's got the Alpina B5 software on the instrument cluster and the mileage has been altered 🤣 probably using one of those online programming services, looks like they messed up the software on the TRSVC while doing this Also that can has a crazy high spec, almost every option
