Last season, Taylor was in press on 150 of his 976 snaps, and he allowed 12 catches on 27 press targets for 5.4 yards per play, three explosive plays, no touchdowns, and one interception. Taylor did his thing against a lot of top receivers last season, and he was especially effective against Green Bay’s Romeo Doubs, who had the Stat Line from Hell when Taylor was in his face and matching him through routes

Dennis Allen On Nickel CB
It’s vitally important. I look at the Nickel Corner as a starter. We probably play 70% of our snaps in some sort of sub-defense, so I look at that guy as a starter. I would say there was a lot of encouraging things with Alontae Taylor in there, yet there was some things that weren’t as good as they needed to be.
Dennis Allen On Alontae Taylor
Let’s not forget that Alontae Taylor is a 2nd year player & it’s his 1st year playing inside in the slot. There’s some learning that goes along with that, I think he will be much better & much further along. He’s getting that work now in the spring as opposed to the limited work he got in training camp last year.

Taylor is a C player with A hype. If he can get that grade to a B this season he will have made huge strides. After all he's learning behind to A cornerbacks in Adebo and Lattimore

I think the Saints CB room is number 1 we have no type of pass rush or run defense they are the only reason why are defense is elite. We lock down the field and why many QB struggle have their worst games when going against us. WHODAT also AT imo is better than PA but he can even be more valuable if he can really succeed in that slot role. But don’t get it twisted PA is beast prob are 2nd best Defensive player last year behind Demario obv

GOD NO! He don’t play. And he’s a Locker Room Cancer. Drew made him his money, because Drew was probably the most accurate QB in NFL History. He made throws that nobody else would dare or could even attempt to make. No Drew-Michael Thomas never played and had all kinds of strange undetectable injuries. Not to mention the timing of his surgeries were ALWAYS after the Draft. That was so the Saints wouldn’t draft a WR, and that hurt the team by him being selfish to feed his ego. #cantguardmike turned into #donthavetoguardmike!😂 Because he never was on the field. He will be broke when he’s 35, and will open a WR Training Facility, to rip off kids who won’t get drafted. That’s the type of scrub he his. I for one am glad he’s gone…Good Riddance MT!
