When my baby, my son, got his license, I let him drive to school by himself. He had saved and bought his car. I was driving to work and he passed me, I cried the rest of the way to work, my baby didn’t need me anymore. All we can do is teach them to be good people and to follow the rules, and to respect others and hope that they listened and do as taught. He recently got married to his high school sweetheart, and is a lawyer for the federal government, so I guess I did ok. Unfortunately he lives 4 hours away.

I was telling Donnie that I don’t want to out out as much Christmas decor next year either! It feels like way too much these days. I’m working on purging my house too! Feels so good and fresh and much more relaxing 🤩

What a beautiful story, thank u for sharing…my boys are young only 4 and 6 years old. I cried when they started school. I can’t imagine when they move out. But teaching them to be good man, good husbands and good parents. To be respectful, kind, lovable and believe in their own potential. It is very important regardless of what carrier they choose that they’ll be a good example to others. Like I tell the the importance of giving their children time or remind their wife how much they loved them. Education starts home

I thought it was just me. I took all of my Christmas decor down on 1/2. The house feels so light and refreshed. I’ve been decluttering like crazy. I needed to watch this video today. It just validates the direction I’m trying to go with my house. I’m definitely going to do the toy bin system because all of the toddler toys are taking over my house…. And the toddler crumbs😂😂😂

I read somewhere long time ago… don’t do a theme in your home, decorate with what you like, it will be more personal to you! My home is very unique I have antique (family) pieces and a few hobby lobby signs I enjoy, some farm house… i keep my furniture gray, cause it’s simple and doesn’t go out of style. I love it! Can’t wait to see your changes❤!

Jessi this video was sooooo good! Wow I love it! You could find some larger bins to put your linens in. I even have mine in thirty one bins. Each kid has a bin that their linens are in. Super helpful in the middle of night when I need to change bedding.

A suggestion for your black TV cord showing. What if you used white duct tape or white gaffers tape to cover the exposed part of the cord? That may help you not notice it as much. Thank you for sharing your cleaning and organizing! Very motivational.

One thing I have learned is Kids get overwhelmed , stressed, scared a lot at this age .Everything is new to them .Go to store when it's least busy,, Take a small baggy of toys just for outings, headphones an a tablet, just reassure them itheir ok, safe make a game of it. Let them know what things are.. it get easier mom 😆

We got new windows in our house on the 27th, so Christmas evening, we took down our Christmas trees. Then NYE, we took down the rest of the Christmas decor. It felt good!

I got a Hobby Lobby haul of more springy decor. We think it looks great! Got rid of older decor . Good will. We just got new livingroom tables in November. They open up the room and look more modern. I was over Christmas the day after, but I didn’t take my decor down until about 2 days after. One of our pipes burst two, we didn’t have water for about 3 days even on Christmas Day. You surly don’t miss something until you don’t have it.

I got the vacuum seal bags off Amazon and put all my extra linen, travel bags,etc and with them all vacuumed sealed was able to store in my suitcase and containers. Saves a lot of space🙂

When I had to get a carpet repair at my last apartment from my naughty kitties damaging the carpet and the carpet repair man estimated the carpet to be from the 1960's. He was an older gentleman with a long background in carpet design and installation. He was one of 4 carpet contractors in the USA that refurbished major opera houses and places like that so I trusted his estimation! Lol I was super grossed out though and was glad to buy a house with brand new carpet installed. 😄 I will be keeping up with this carpet so it lasts as long as possible. I'm sure you will take good care of your new carpet as well!

Hi great video, love your daughter new look, her room looks so young lady great job. I think a lot of us are cutting aback this year on the things we use to decorateare homes. I like storms myself it does depend on what time of the day it's coming in though, The ones that hit in the middle of the night make me jumpy but during the day they're so calm and relaxing and give you a reason for not doing things outside. Girl, I feel your pain of your discussion with your daughter. My 15yo loves to keep everything. Your new carpet looks great! And no, electrical over a fireplace was not very common, we built our house in 2006 and while we did have the builders put electrical over the fireplace, there were audio and internet inputs, like 5 outlets all of which you really don't need anymore since everything else is wireless. Fast forward to now, we've moved the TV to another wall and have to keep a mirror to cover the outlets lol

Happy 2023!! It is always a good idea to have the family help take down Christmas decorations. My son gave me a two-tiered tray but I just have the hardest time figuring out how to decorate it. Right now it's sitting on the buffet cabinet completely empty. Lol. I remember the day my son got his permit. I let him drive to the next town. In that short 8 miles drive, he ran a stop sign and murdered a squirrel. Lol. We had to have a little talk about him paying more attention to his surroundings. Lol. As far as tantrums, who is the worst, boy or girl? Hope you and your family have a wonderful new year!!

I have done the same thing JessiChristine when it comes to decor in my home. I have decluttered my home and still continue to do so. I keep it simple so that it doesn't look like visual clutter. So I commend you on decluttering. Btw your carpet choice looks good in the rooms.
