British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has stunned both his critics and supporters by appointing a leading Jewish lawyer, Richard Hermer, as the new Attorney General of the country. This also meant that Starmer had dumped Emily Thornberry, who was tipped to be appointed in this role.
Rifat Jawaid explains how Hermer has been a leading Jewish voice against Israel in the past. He also explains why Hermer may be a far better appointment than Thornberry or Suella Braverman, who occupied this role in the Conservative government in the past.

So not only is Jacqui Smith appointed to the House of Lord's by Sir Kid Starver of Tel Aviv because he can not find anyone amongst his 400 underlings to take up the post of an Education Minister apparently it now appearts that he has appointed Richard Hermer to the House of Lord's to become the Attorney General because, like his Education Minister Sir Kid Starver could not find anyone amognst his 400 underlings who is capable of becoming the Attorney General. So we now have at least TWO appointments by Sir Kid Starver to the House of Lord's for governmental positions who can never be questioned by the House of Commons. Looking back at Sir Kid Starver and his cronies upset and anger at the appointment of David Cameron to the post of Foreign Secretary it now makes a complete mockery of their upset and anger to see these two appointments to the House of Lord's by Sir Kid Starver. What a hyprocrite!

Very interesting, and hopefully a good sign. As you say, certainly a huge step up from Thornberry, and obviously a different planet to Braverman. Many thanks for bringing this to our attention. Hopefully now they are comfortably in power, Labour can be less slavishly supportive of Israel in their public statements (and, now they are in power, their actions).
