I don’t mind when channels I truly enjoy ( like yours ) do ads because I understand that it helps the channel. Big ups on staying solid and not pushing something you don’t believe in for a check though!

I agree with your actions totally. Don't sell what you can't put your name too. Also at the end you were at Korea Town just off Soi 12. That's favourite area. I usually stay down the bottom of Soi 12, great hotel and very close to Jetts gym where I frequent most days when i am there - an Aussie with a Jetts membership so no extra charge to use gyms there. Food looked great too

It's tricky to navigate. I'm at the stage now where my channel is really growing and I'm starting to get advertising offer's. It's interesting navigating the new content creation economy. I watch other larger creators that disclose how they manage it and it's helped a lot, including this video. Know your worth and value your viewer's is the best policy I think.

Great Video ! My clients at Pravize are in the content creator industry and I love to see them get paid promotions, but what you say is true. They also have to be careful not to do too much and usually choose companies that are content creator friendly and have products they would use :) Stay cool Dude !

Totally agree with your feeling on channels that push too many ads. Especially when you already pay for YT premium. That said, I assume content creators share in the revenue of YT premium?

Yeah we earn from KZfaq premium, but one brand deal can be like 1/3 of what we earn from ads in a whole month, so that’s why people take them.. I just feel that they should be spaced out 😊

I dont get that. If the product was fine despite the price, why knock back the review. Some people will want it and be able to afford it. Not everyone is looking for value. If you're selling a product, you need to factor in the broader market, not just your own price tolerance. People have different ideas of what constitutes value. You could always mention in the video it's on the pricey side and some veiwers might want to consider cheaper alternatives. If the product offers features not available in similar products, it might be worth the price to some, especially if it's has the very features they need. I think this was a missed opportunity.

Question: what’s the worst thing that could have happened if you would have kept the product ? Was there anything in your “contract” that had said anything about the return ? This is ridiculous, as the third party you’ve mentioned most likely gonna keep or sell the product anyway.

I sent it back to the company, not the agency.. but yeah there was legal concequences stated in the contract if it didn’t go to plan. Whether they would have actually followed through I don’t know, but for the sake of 2000 baht, I feel good about the whole thing..

So, you liked the product, but thought you'd be a sellout cause the price was high? Why couldn't you just do the review and mention that while you liked the product you felt the price wasn't justified. I just don't understand why giving a honest review on any product would be selling out. I doubt anyone but yourself would think your a sellout for giving a honest review. Now if it was a canned commercial that the company wanted you to insert in 1 or more of your video's i could see that as selling out.
