Great Job! I think it’s more satisfying to make parts completely by scratch. My hands are big so my fingers stay in the glove… You also stay safe and extremely healthy!

The only time I wear gloves in the shop is when I am loading or unloading raw stock, but never when the machinery is moving. I had a friend who was a printer operating a large press, he wore gloves to protect his hands from paper cuts. One day the glove on one hand got caught, His nick name is now Mickey as all three fingered guys have to stick together.

I can't exactly say why, but I really enjoyed seeing how how you fabricated the lever. Thank you.I PS: I 've used Brasso since the mid-60s. It's excellent stuff.

Starting with a casting probably wouldn’t have saved any time. The time to run to Black Gates or order one takes time and petrol. The one you made is more than adequate and it looks quite nice.
