This is exactly what I do! I only have it in my hair for 15-20mins total. I never relax it bone straight. Healthier for my hair and it helps me keep the thickness.

Just like to say I like that you are applying the relaxer with your fingers/hands. Like you , I can move faster and you have more control. The fingers also do not pull at your hair also it’s more easy to smooth out. I think this technique is better to use if you are relaxer your hair yourself.👍 Also once smooth out I will use a comb as the hair is now straight. The key to maintenance relax hair is condition , condition condition. Nothing to heavy as the hair will not move. Moisture products are better for the hair if you want movement. Too much oil is heavy and just sits on your hair.
