I had the same thing done. I also have just one ear that sticks out. Someone hooked my ear while fishing one time, had to go to the hospital. I shoulda ripped it out but I was 11 at the time. Then later on the hospital's equipment wasn't cleaned properly and gave me staff infection in the blood stream. Almost killed me(literally). Much expense and a pick line for 12 weeks. But I couldn't wrestle so I joined boxing after the pick line was out and I still had a sore ankle from the infection. I amateur boxed at a boxing gym and went around the midwest competing and did very well. I fully recovered and wrestled my whole life and then got cauliflower slightly in the one ear lol. I've been teased and picked on about it my whole life. But I learned to stay positive about it cause it has kept me a genuine nice person. But there are times that I'd like to screw it into my skull cause it gets in the way lol but it's made me who I am today and I am thankful and blessed
