It’s funny that other artist get more awards, more recognition, more popularity, more listeners and this girl is out here singing her heart out. I mean....Kelly sure hasn't done badly for herself, though, lol. She has multiple Grammy's and plenty of other awards and lots of records sales, a coach on The Voice, her own talk show, etc.

@@stevec6002 Oh yes, you are 100% right! And let’s not forget she was the first American Idol winner! But if you look at the music industry now days and how they promote music. Kelly and other artist like her don’t have the recognition that they should have, but let me tell you this, Kelly is one of the few artists that can sound exactly the same singing live and singing on a record and that for me that says more than just winning awards. Do you agree?

I don't understand why she doesn't get more recognition from the industry. She's a million times better than some of the ones who everyone goes ga ga over. Such a big deal is made of people like Taylor Swift and Beyonce you'd think they're the only singers in the world but in my opinion they can't hold a candle to Kelly Clarkson! It's not fair. She deserves so much more!

I thought MINE just gutted me. Lighthouse is next level heart-wrenching. I can't stop crying... Kelly is singing & crying her heart out at the same time like she always does. If you didn't feel it then you need to check your pulse. Such a masterpiece album. I can't wait to hear it all & have all the feelings. I feel like Kelly doesn't get much recognition for her songwriting skill y'all.

It won't. It's not gonna sell and is irrelevant already. When you make pop music you can't play no games... that's why Taylor sells..this album is just boring and forgettable...she sings shit very well tho...but should have kept it for her own ears and gave the public what they deserved.

@@bryanmartin5901 Nah that’s not true, I was there and the only time she had to restart like 3 times was Skip This Part (which was the first song she sang). Lighthouse was the last song she sang with the strings that’s why you can hear her say “Give up for the strings everybody” Yes, she was really emotional during the strings segment but the only time she had to restart was during Skip This Part 🤷🏽♂️

The handoff of the melody from Kelly to Jessi at the end was flawless! I’m going to venture to say that Kelly’s a better artist and vocalist now than she even was 5 years ago, in part because of Jessi and HER talent and influence. As an observer, it seems to me they’re a great example of two women who have different roles and who do those roles really well, at the same time as supporting and building up the other person in their immense talent. Kelly and Jessi are quickly becoming one of my favourite “duos”.

This song will NEVER be matched by anything, and there will NEVER be ANYONE like Kelly Clarkson! This song is so emotional, speaks to so many people, and can resonate with people on so many levels. It's so wild how people think Kelly isn't all that because she doesn't have as much recognition or as many awards as other artist, but this girl is just out here singing about something that's important to her. Whew that one got me. Kelly always emotes so much in her singing, it really makes you connect with her. And the way Jessi came in and sang the second “crashing into me” at about 3:59. I had to rewind it because Kelly was doing ad libs there but it also sounded like she was still singing the words. Her background singers are so good!

Honestly I can't tell you how much this hits home right now. I'm in the biggest struggle of my life trying to stay sane with my husband saying what he does, and being treated the way I have been. Married for over 7 years, together for almost 10 and right now I'm not sure how to keep going. Love this song, it definitely brings some emotions out ❤

Ok I’m watching this for… let’s say the 600th time. One thing that sticks out the most aside from the INSANE live vocals and emotions they took me through, aside from her being the most successful idol winner and the OG idol winner, she still takes the time to acknowledge and thank her band and string section. They’re all just as much a part of the performance as she is and she thanks them. THAT is how a true performer makes it. Humble, thankful, and graceful.

This song is perfection as you describe sooo well how many of us have felt when you're marriage is imploding irreversibly. When you have loved the other person so much and all they did was take, tried to change you, criticize you until you feel sooo small and just dying, withering away. Living with a Narc is just like this. I am glad she escaped it and lived to tell the tale in this beautiful song. It is hard to remember the light that we had, before the Narc, but it is still there. We just have to out from under their stifling energy to find it again.

She has been around now over 20 years since she won AI. She is only getting better with age. She seems to be very humble and grounded. That’s why people like her besides that amazing voice.
