Kelly kicks off this special Rad Human Hour with a college professor who went viral babysitting for a student that couldn't find childcare, and a Sheriff's Department that honored a fallen officer by showing up for his little boy's first day of kindergarten.

It's not really surprising. A while back, I read that the average person with a Ph .D. doesn't complete it until 35-years-old. They are REALLY dedicated to their fields of study -- to the point is causes them to live a particular lifestyle.

What a great educator he is! When my middle son was an infant, I tried going to community college. My then husband was absolutely no help. I had daycare for my oldest son but I couldn’t find any infant care. Since my infant son was a pretty mellow kid, I asked one of my teachers (who was also my guidance counselor) if I could bring my son to my classes and she was OK with it. It was working well until one student in my math class complained and the higher ups at the college said I could no longer bring my son to school. What that meant to me was I had to drop out of school.
