I say this all the time. People praise Taylor Swift for her break up songs and no hate to Taylor but she’s no Mariah. Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel was so underrated. She’s a lyrical genius and people don’t talk about it.

She's been singing since she could talk. And I would say that I love that 95% of her music is encouraging to women whether it's a f you break up or a you're strong or you're incredible or broken and beautiful. Memoirs is underrated and slept on. I can hit play on the album and just listen all the way through. Butterfly is pretty much widely recognized as her best work. It’s definitely my favorite album of hers.

MOIA is also one of my fave albums, it's weird but I could listen to The Impossible (Reprise) all day eventhough there are not much lyrics to that track. I just love the humming, and how genius Mariah is when using interpolations to her songs, in this case "Forever my Lady" by Jodeci.
