Why boil the basil? You're cooking out the flavor. You will still get a nice green oil without blanching

Another technique is to blend it and then cook out all the water for 30-40 minutes, resulting in a more concentrated flavor

If you cook the oil after the blanching process your oil will be much flavorfull and smoother but it is looking amazing anyways
