The entrance to Kelvedon Hatch is a little tricky. Just take it easy and slooooowly and you'll be fine.
I show you around the site, which has a VERY clean shower area and is great for families. Split across two fields, with the shower block in the middle.
Remember, caravanning should be fun. Be safe, but don't worry about everything.

Nice to see you towed through Ongar rather than go M11. M25. The safari tents are a new feature I believe, we always used to park backed onto the perimeter hedge as the other side gets packed with tents, the road noise I believe is the A 128, nice weekend bolt hole.

Funny you said nipping back for your lap tap, we also like going close to home. We live in Northampton and use a nice little off grid site at Market Harborough. We went during that really hot spell last year and ended up ordering a couple of rechargeable fans from Amazon for same day delivery so went home to get them when delivered notification came through. Staying close to home not as silly as it sounds. This was a quiet site and we just sit outside the van and chill something we could do at home. BUT when you are chillin’ in your garden you still have all those must do jobs staring at. In the middle of a field you can forget everything.

Flippin ell I’ve not been there since a kid over 40 years ago 😮it was a field and reception was basically a shed with some grumpy old sod in it that hated kids lol 😂… my parents live in Ongar and I’m still living in Essex about 30 mins from the site… it’s come on a lot since the 70s! Thanks for taking me down memory lane have a sub bud 😊… JP

Thanks for watching (and subbing). We hoped to return this weekend, but the weather looks a bit crap. Loved the site, though, can; 't think why we haven't been before. Of course, it might be a different site during the school holidays, but that's true of all sites.

@@CaravanVlogger I may go back and re live my youth I used to rummage around the woods on the side of the golf course and collect all the lost balls and my dad used to seek them to his mate at work for a bit of pocket money for me lol and catch sticklebacks and fresh water shrimp in the little stream, happy days 😁

Hi Graham a very pretty site! I think we nee to do a video about how to keep a van and awning as cool as we can in high temperatures lol....this last weekend we had 30 degrees and the van was nearly 50 degrees inside.. despite what we did lol....take care and keep 'em coming 'The Camp Caravanners'

We're touring Essex ATM, in Leigh on Sea then Southwold in CSes this week. Laptop failure- OH MAN ALIVE ! 🙃 - I've got my laptop just incase, but booked the week off. Your sausage dog seems quiet, they're usually very yappy in my experience. I've never tried the on site WiFi as my EE unlimited MIFI from home always does the trick. We've only ever known C&CC, feels like they have less rules than the other one, as you say, we can usually go wherever we like and position the caravan in whichever orientation we like. As always, decent vlog.

You may remember I am your French resident supporters club president so I must first say I have no experience at all of UK sites - you describe the site as more relaxed I think, like France. I’ve had 10 months on sites now throughout Europe but have never seen sites as regimented as this - caravanning in the UK seems a completely different pastime - France Germany Switzerland Austria and Italy are completely different - so much more casual, relaxed, informal and in my experience even at peak times have more behaved considerate occupants (even peak) - either I’ve fluked it or it’s a very different thing - maybe I only see “club” sites on KZfaq but man, if it were like that here in Europe I would have sold the van by now. Rant over, thanks for another great watch international influencer!

Thanks for watching. We’ll, I say relaxed, I’m comparing them to the other club (pitch between 2 white pegs brigade) You’re right, it’s completely different in the UK. I have various theories, but if I spoke of them I be accused of being something I’m really not, we’ll at the very least anti-British 😂 It’s a difference in culture.

Looks ok Graham its close for us as well we use both clubs i think the word you were looking for is a bit basic compared to camc. We go to Sandringham once a year always stay at ccc a lot cheaper and its a lovely site .

Thanks for watching. Occasionally I forget, depending on how stressful hitching up is. This time 2 of the movers stopped working so I was stressing about that. So forgot tow cover and my laptop. Naturally after about 10 metres I realised there was no cover on, but turning back was a pain. We were only going half an hour. Sometimes I don’t use as if I just can’t be bothered 🤣

Ive not been away much in the caravan this year. The reason is ive found the charge per night has increased by about £10. As a result the odd weekend away is no longer as cheap as last few years. I doubt if theyll decrease. C&CC sites have greatly increased too. Wont be renewing membership next year. No advantage of being a member, sadly

That tingle lingle sound is the ice cream man/person you plonker 😂 And keep an an eye out that lumberjack with the chainsaw ( don’t want to see the pair of you under a tree “TIMBER” .Me and the Missus enjoy every flog you do, it’s our highlight of the week 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂you are so right though about CClub needing to get their act together, maybe they are to busy pleasing the motorhome crew 😮

We appreciated loo blocks and wash up facilities when we tent camped but don’t often choose a site with them now. Much prefer CL’s with ehu’s and basic CAMH sites. 30+ years of caravans and the same before that of tent camping. I was still tent camping into my sixties as a DofE Assessor and wild camping abroad with pupils doing World Challenge expeditions.

I find the CCC sites seem to less formal and more relaxed than CaMC, which i prefer.

I’ve used loads of CMC sites but only recently started using CCC sites. Visited Borobridge, Keswick (twice) and Moffat and everything you said about them I have also found to be true. Really impressed with them and I’m starting to become disillusioned with CMC sites. Great video. Did you go down the nuclear bunker at Kelvedon Hatch? It’s now a museum and they are well worth a look down. I used to work in one 40 years ago when I was in the RAF in the depths of the cold war

@@CaravanVlogger of course we are special 🤣🤣🤣 Only happened that once though, we have only ever stayed at CAMC sites, but in August we are staying on a private site through Pitch Up, will be interesting to compare, £111 for three nights, payment will be taken 14 days before we stay, so not cheap, there is no CAMC site near where we are going, never thought of CC Sites 🤦‍♀️
