I have a Kemper rack & pedal and the harder you play the louder it doesn’t get. It does not do the ”Amp in the room thing” either. But recording and the House sound is great. Notice all the real amps in the background? Yea, not goin anywhere.

My eyes gravitate to the ADA MP1, the Eventide Harmonizer, and the Crane Songs. Nice boat load of Chandler gear too. Yeah, that sound on Accepts Balls To The Wall, still captures the exact feel I get near a speaker cab. Brutal. Maybe one day. Time to play some guitar.

Guitar tone is very subjective. I am interested in these KEMPER and AXE FX gear. I can see the advantages. I have all I need now. If I had the KEMPER, I would profile my rig with my ADA preamp and profile all the different tones. I have rack setups, a pedal board based on my ADA MP-1 preamp. I also, have a PODXT PRO that took me along time to get realistic tones out of it. I use that only for quiet jamming. I would probably dig the KEMPER Rackmount. I have great rack fx already.

Yes. But the various DI boxes have a slightly different tone, that could fit better than the Kemper DI on those cases, so then with the method MW describes, you can use the other DI box for the DI signal.

Soon there will be profiles out there of famous guitarists' rigs, like for example James hetfield, or Eric Johnson. when this starts happening, it will open the door to the Wonka factory of guitar tones. Imagine getting a profile of the Marshall plexi owned by Jimi Hendrixi, or Brian May's Vox AC30! For me the Kemper was worth every penny.

kemper is still waaaaaaaaaay too expensive for most people. Kemper is really milking this thing for all that its worth. Its like only the wealthy and famous people can use a kemper because if they wanted im sure they can sell them for half price and make a killing in sales as many many people will buy them, that will also pretty much kill the tube amp maket in a few years.

+Metalgears1968 offcourse not, it's still digital. tried one. yeah it was fun but i'm still more impressed by a tube amp. it's not just about getting the tone, it's also about pushing the amount of air and such, even on a low volume a tube amp impresses me more then this thing on low volume. tried it yesterday in a store with the stock settings. to each their own and i'm sure that this is not bad. but with a tube amp you can't denie it's sound.

in time yes, when they get affordable. if kemper says they will start making a budget model or if they are to cut the price by 50-60% the tube amp market will plummet in no time! its just a no brainer, do you want one tube amp or do you want this huge pallet of amps that sound and feel like a tube amp? most will go for the 2nd option.
@aryinc
@aryinc 8 жыл бұрын
nope it just won't. don't know but you still can hear the diffrence between a kemper and a big tube head. the air pushing, the dynamics. i've hear these kempers an awfull lot of times and never was impressed by them. they sound plastic to me, saw exodus playing with engl amps and later with kemper and tought... where did they're sound go.

I don't know about that. I'm thinking about getting one, and I can only think of 3 amps I've always wanted. Getting those would set me back a cool 7-8000 bucks and send my wife packing. Nobody will ever use everything this thing has to offer, that's the nature of the beast.
