Brings back memories. I recall when that bridge was under construction in 2004. I was living on Main St. in Littleton and building our house at the time. Shilling's was the Littleton Grist Mill back then and the water wheel turned. We used the same Brosco reproduction windows in our house that the recently restored grist mill had. Loved walking around there.

Nice bird’s eye view with the drone. Sumner of 2018 I rode my bike to Littleton from Woodsville on the Ammonoosuc Rail Trail (and back), brought swim trunks and cooled off in the river near the pedestrian bridge. There’s a beautiful covered bridge in the nearby town of Bath.

Another beautiful video! I’ve noticed that many of the older commercial buildings are made of red brick while the homes and possibly the churches are built of wood. Do you know if there was a specific reason for that? I’m wondering because many older homes in southeast PA are built of stone and I imagine there’s just as much stone in Vermont if not more. 🤷🏼‍♀️
