And Jeremy Corbyn was a failure as Labour leader by losing multiple elections as well poor housekeeping within the party by not dealing with the anti semites (some filmed because openly anti semitic at social gatherings) but instead chose to ignore it, a sign of a poor leader. A strong leader would have ejected those identified and condemned them but he did nothing. And you call Starmer poor. 🤔 Interesting.

The Labour Party was created to represent working class people. The British Labour Party will never deliver real socialism. There is no parliamentary road to socialism. The SWP knows the way forward. The working people in Britain and across the world should be building revolutionary socialist organisations. The world's capitalist system is slowly collapsing. Marx predicted that the world's capitalist economic system would eventually collapse because it is inherently flawed.

If you want alternative and more "progressive" excuses for austerity then go ahead and vote for the Tories in sandals.

The problem with greens is the problem with Libdems in 2010. Once they hold the balance of power and share with the Tories (or Labour) they'll give up on their most meaningful policies for a few soggy carrots in return. Ultimately they're not focused on issues that impact poor people the most, rather wealthy liberals.

@@camoTiara I hear you. If I was in Scotland I'd say vote SNP. Here I would vote anyone but Tory in an actively contested seat, or green as a protest seat in a safe constituency. As I did against Milibland. But the purge against progressive MPs in the labour party is a real concern. I'm in full agreement with you. Good luck 👍

Thanks for these words of wisdom Ken and thanks to Crispin for getting the show together. Can you please tell us why the road shows don't attract the crowds that used to turn out for Jeremy Corbyn? Is it simply that crowds are not allowed on the venue sites? If so, where can we get those crowds back, because we need to see them on our social media. #TransformPolitics 🚩

Fantastic, I agree with every word. I was a labour follower, but not now. I moved to The Green 💚 party. I studied conservation and ecology over twenty five years ago and lectures we're talking about climate change then... What is needed is a strategy, a functional, practical teamwork in place, which tackles climate problems.

I thought when he started his speech he was going to talk of the denial of free speech. It is the left-wing who have restricted free-speech most since the 1960s. I remember in the early 70s some members of the nationalist National Front were invited to speak at the university where I was an undergraduate. I wasn't interested in hearing them. I steered clear of politics then. However, I was appalled the Student Union prevented them speaking. Speech wasn't that free before that - there were religious morality laws and blasphemy laws, but banning political groups from speaking was the start of the erosion of free speech. Then the various race relations legislation in the 1960s introduced by the Labour Party restricted British people from speaking against the migration of particular races. Since then it has been one restriction after another. We now have no real free speech.

If you think that foodbanks are supporting 11million people in this country, you need to seek help. There is no way foodbanks are giving away 1/7th of all the food in this country. That would be about £30bn of food given away as charitable donations. That would be a give-away 1000x bigger than either Comic Relief or Children in Need. It would make foodbanks one of the biggest food outlets in the country. It's amazing what nonsense people will have you believe.
