This is the story of the rise and fall of Jeremy Corbyn and the forces that brought him down. The film was launched in January 2023. Despite huge establishment opposition, this film was shown widely across Britain and internationally in 2023.
A follow- up film focusing on events in Palestine is currently under production. Its working title is “The Big Lie II - Starmer and the Genocide” It's an exposé of Labour's inaction on Palestine but equally promotes the diverse and positive initiatives people are undertaking to fight back against a system that's just not working for them.
Please watch a trailer at: • Video T and help us finish the film by donating at: gofund.me/0bf08b31 or through a/c: Platform Films sort code 40.04.07. a/c no. 61095528.

PLEASE SUPPORT completion of our next film AND DONATE NOW gofund.me/00ccadcf “Oh Jeremy Corbyn - The Big Lie” investigated the forces that brought down the Labour leader. I’m now raising funds to complete a follow up production looking at the impact of horrific events in Palestine and the role of the Labour Party. The working title of the film is “The Big Lie II - Starmer and the Genocide”. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/j5anebF9rZachZc.html We’ve already filmed many important interviews and footage but need funds to complete the film. When the film is finished it will be launched in independent cinemas across Britain and then made freely available on KZfaq. Please support this vital project.

@@windbag45 I did. I don't think corbyn is a racist. I think he got a hard time in the press (but then so did brown and Milliband). However I disagree on a few points, the myth of 2017 being an amazing result being one. Vote share doesn't really matter otherwise if a party won London it would pretty much win an election, what matters under our system is seats. On this metric (the only metric which defines an outcome) corbyn did about as good as Gordon brown. Hardly a momentous result. Secondly I really don't think that the anti semistism is what led to corbyn losing so badly. Johnson won a landslide. a known anti Muslim racist and the Muslim vote is significantly bigger than the Jewish one. Corbyns brexit policy (or lack of one) was literally the final nail in the coffin, this and the fact his own party didn't want him as their leader in significant numbers. A good campaigner, probably a decent man. But a very poor leader. That being said I don't think he should be removed from the labour party, but this I believe is simpler starmer playing to focus group games, he will have done studys that show removing corbyn and distancing himself from him is a net vote winner. Corbyns legacy ultimately was handing two election wins to the torys, the second being one of the worst electoral performances for a generation.

Jeremy was put in power to give the illusion of opposition, once those in power realised he risked the status quo they had to have him silenced in a way that doesn't turn him into a martyr. The saddest part is most people are too stupid to realise how close they came to having a leader that actually cared.

Are you serious ? What was he planning to do with the economy ? So you believe TPTB allowed Corbyns initial rise BUT were scared he would threaten the status quo ? Yep, that's what you think. How very selective. But you were right to say Corbyn was the illusion of opposition. Socialist Labour activists are a minority but they grossly overestimate their own significance and popularity. The exact same can be said of tory activists, which tells you a lot. Division is a drug.

The only reason that Boris got into power was he, as a chancer saw his opportunity to be the PM , he jumped on the brexit issue and was the only one who said he'd honour the referendum vote.... Which of course hasn't happened, we've had brexit in name only. I doubt that you wanted brexit tho and we can go into the issues I have with the EU but it probably won't sway you anyway.... But yes, I think most people like to believe that our politicians have our best interests in mind but obviously that is very far from the truth...... It was the establishments reaction to the brexit vote that first woke me up to their treachery, just about all of the crooks in Parliament from nearly every party we're horrified that their golden goose was cooked and had no intention of implementing the 17.5 million brexit voters wishes and fought tooth and nail for three years to try and stop it...calling us racists etc..... It was the PLP (and the bureaucracy) that were the REAL problem in the Labour Party, in recent years. There was no WAY that Corbyn could have got a handle on all THOSE.. Corbyn couldn't possibly expel 80% of his MPs.. Really we need better and more representative MPs, and not just careerists. It's really sad (and shows the lack of true democracy in this country) that 100,000s of Labour MEMBERS supported Corbyn, yet that didn't matter in the end, just because this small clique of Blairites at the top didn't. And didn't care if Labour lost the election because of it! 😡👎👎👎 Blairites and neoliberals have poisoned the Labour Party, I think forever.

Corbyn is too good a person to be a politician. Politics only seems to attract the most ambitious, loudmouthed and horrible people. Socialism will never be allowed to happen in this country. As soon as most new MPs get their salary and expenses and perks all thought of helping their constituents or even society at large goes out the window.
