@@3rdpersontech 2002... please help... the fan turns own, the compressors warm but no cold air blowing... I had to take all the food out and put in on my deck... really don’t know what to do...

My customer's fridge control board that I exposed after removing the 3 screws, had a red LED blinking. I unplugged it for 5 minutes. Plugged it back on. I then pressed the reset/test button on the program board once. Looked it temp display on the fridge's front. (11) (11) for test number one. Pressed it again (22) (22) showed up. Pressed it again, (33)(33) indicating 3rd test which is defrost cycle. Four press of the button is "return to normal operation" I did this last night. This morning I called her and she told me both fresh food compartment and the freezer are both at 42°/-2° respectively. The guy who worked on it before forgot to replace the 90° nylon compression fitting elbow connecting the water pump outlet to the water door line inlet. I popped over to Ace hardware, $4.99 later I had her water dispenser working too!

@@bassinbillRC5300 What if the first press of the test button shows 88/88 ? Second was 22/22, third was 33/33, fourth reset to normal.

Exactly what I was thinking. $500-1000 for labor? This is exactly why I came to KZfaq to figure out how to fix it myself instead of paying the price of a new fridge to fix this POS Kenmore

You need a compressor or there is a restriction. How old is the unit ? And have the compressor been changed before?

I have a neighbor who has the same refrigerator and the red lights flashing red three times. It's cooling a little but not enough. There's a good door seal on the fresh food upper compartment and the freezer has a good seal by using a piece of newspaper and testing the door seal when both the upper doors are closed and the lower doors closed.

You said the freezer is working fine? Do you have ice cream in the Frezzer? Is it frozen solid ? If the ice cream is frozen solid. Then you may have a evap fan issue in the refrigerator section. Is the kenmore the same as listed in this vidoe ?

@@3rdpersontech It may be a different model. The model number starts with 111750 im not home to look up the rest. Ill check the ice cream when i get home. The fridge feels like room temp. The sodas are not cold enough to drink without ice. I unplugged it for about 15 min yesterday and no difference

@@kennethrich1942 is the refrigerator at the top and freezer at the bottom? If so check the ice cream like I said. If the cream cream is still frozen solid. More likely a evap fan issue. If your ice cream is soft more likely a seal system issue.

It’s more then likely still the compressor. Or it may also be a leak. But lean more to compressor

Sounds like you may need a compressor call for service the compressor is covered on the warranty but you may still have to pay for labor

I have similar issue with a similar model. 74023, compressor vibrates, all fans working, cleaned coils. Compressor does not get hot to touch. No led indications from PCB.

@@wsniper1 whats the diagnosis ...?? You found out something..?? I did the mother board Reset, so thats working fine , put the 3 in 1 start kit for compressor Still no progress...

@@straighttalk12 replaced PCB, no progress. Sears service comes out in 2 weeks. I got a Kenmore elite so compressor has 10 year warranty. What is the 3 in 1 start kit?

@@wsniper1 3 in one start kit is attached to the compressor just in case the relay not working I put SUPCO RC0210 ( Please google it)...To have better idea please see this video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/a7uXhZSovZu8lIE.html so did you notice any LED blinking on PCB board before replacing it..?? The number of blinks give some idea about problem i heard in above video ..anyways its replaced , Hope they didnt charge you for it ..

@@straighttalk12 no blinking LEDs when compressor was hooked up. When I unhooked con1 from PCB and ran fridge in test 2, the LED started blinking since there was no compressor signal.

I got same model....There is LED...you might have missed it.....My LED not blinking , and I hear compressor and fan ..Inside Fan ...Display panel , lights all work good but cooling..

If you don’t have flashing lights then put your hand on the compressor is it hot to the touch ? Also how old is your unit? And is it not cooling at all ?

The light is not always on if the technician tap the line and a conveyor will be a compressor

Is it cooling at all ? What’s the temp in Frezzer? And what’s the temp in refrigerator and how old is the unit? Is it LG or kenmore?

If the lights dose not flash but the unit is still not cooling. You will need a tech to come out to tap the line of the compressor and check the pressure

@@3rdpersontech OK so the light is off and the freezer is good but the temp. on the refer says 33°F but the items temp is at 59 and 60° is that ok??

@@MikelTheola1 how cold is the Frezzer? If the Frezzer is still freezing stuff like 10 f or lower. Then it sounds like you may just need a fan for the refrigerator section however this is me guessing that this unit is the shared air unit that shares air from the freezer to the refrigerator

Yep it’s a big issue for this brand.

that’s a diff mod that could be a damper issue. Or if it’s double evap a evap fan motor

For that model # u may need a fan or something. What is happening to the unit not cool at all? Or dose the freezer works a bit but the refrigerator is hot ?

@@3rdpersontech thank you for responding. The freezer works perfectly it even makes ice. I had a tech come out about 3 times to check it. They told me they had orders some parts. The parts got here after the warranty and they won’t honer it. I received a circuit-mother board and a orange cable. I’m thinking of just switching it myself but don’t what that orange cable is too. I can’t see that both the fan in the back and inside the fridge are running and so is the compressor. It feels hot but no cold air flowing to the fridge.

Unless a person has experience with the brazen you’re not fixing this for a compressor job. This vidoe is to educate customers. So they know what to expect and do Basic diagnose themselves

@@3rdpersontech why don’t you post a video on how to replace the compressor instead of telling us to spend upwards of 500-1000 for a technician to fix it. I am more than able to fix it myself I just don’t know where to start nor do I know what to do, if a video was posted I’d be able to do it. Otherwise it would take me 5+ hrs to figure it out but I know I’ll fix it.
