There is always universal love amongst all relationships, but there are also micro-relationships. Just like you can say everything relies on everything else in nature, but there is the relationship of the bee and the flower. And if you take the flower away from the bee, he will go to war with the planet. Ego is a capsule of the will, it exists so the will can manifest. it is a matter of will to be with your love, and it is a matter of will to fight for your love. there is no other reason for individuation to exist. It is not all the same, this is logos. someone can't just be replaced with someone else, just because the constituent parts when deconstructed are the same. That one can love anyone is true, but one can't have the same love for everyone
