Seeing Zach and Bliss was so refreshing for me as an awkward person who feels most comfortable dating awkward men. The date where Zach made Bliss dinner felt very relatable in how I typically experience those early stages of dating. They seem very endearing as a couple and I’m definitely rooting for them!

Let me say this, Zach is not a bad guy. When Bliss questioned his judgment of character and told him, her father didn't think anyone was deserving of her. That triggered him into a trauma response. The moment she said that to him, I saw the light leave his eyes. Lol, I was just like, "Oh, no! She just scared him away." He felt defensive over Irine because he likened her to his poor stripper mother, who was terribly mistreated. Bliss matched him as a partner, but Irene reminded him of his mom. I'm not surprised he chose protecting Irine out of a false sense of duty, fear, and insecurity. I do not think it is weird that he quickly proposed to Bliss because the moment he realized he made a lapse in judgment, he also realized he wouldn't get the opportunity if he didn't seize it. It was a revelation to him that just because a girl reminded him of his mother doesn't mean that she was good for him or loved him. Bliss was amazing, and he knew it would be extremely difficult to find someone like her again. He may be awkward, but he's not stupid. Can we at least give the man credit for boldly admitting he was wrong and holding himself accountable? He also didn't try to control her anger whenever she had some talkback. The fact that he didn't let his ego get in the way of the fact that he was wrong says a lot about him. That's workable. That also says that if there is a big issue later on in the future, he will hold himself accountable for fixing it. He responded like someone who genuinely wanted to fix the mistake they made as soon as possible. I was mad at Zach myself. I was mad at him all the way up until him and Bliss met. I thought he was going to say something aggressive while blaming her. The way he responded shocked me. I love the fact that the 1st thing he said was admitting his fault instead of deflecting or gas lighting. I understand that this is a frustrating situation, but I think a lot of people are forgetting how traumatic it is to grow up the way he did. How could you come out of that without being socially awkward?

He doesnt ever act like he misses or regrets not having Irina, like how Jarrete made it seem like he was still flirting with Mallory. He never cried about Irina, before during or after. But he cried about Bliss when he turned her down. I think theres a difference there. Zack and Bliss’ outcome also proves sometimes second chances and forgiveness is an okay option

Who you are are friends with and what behaviour of theirs you allow are a reflection of yourself, and this looks really bad for Mika even if I didn’t see Mika’s catty behaviour before

I don’t think Marshall has a savior complex. It appears that he genuinely wanted to marry Jackie and tried his hardest to make it work. Marshall put his “love” for Jackie in everything he did. As he saw her unravel, he chose to pour into or nurture her. You can see how he consistently neglects his own needs to keep Jackie around. It mirrors women who try to love a man out of toxicity so the relationship with that specific man can thrive to its potential. I strongly doubt that Marshall intentionally seeks out broken women. He sought out marriage with someone he though was stable, and decided to stick it out as she unraveled in a “for better or for worse” type of way. Even as she showed her ass, he chose to see her as someone who needs support instead of judging her.

I had an ex like Marshall. The patience and emotion availability is all for show. Because when you both feel like you are “fixed”, then that person feels indebted. They take someone hyper independent and create a codependency, where it is only beneficial for one person. The one you did the “fixing.” You should never have to “fix” someone and you should never have to be fixed by someone via relationship. That’s the beginning of a toxic behavior and a major red flag. Instead you have to accept others for who they are and if they seek to change themselves, offer support not guidance.
