Back in 1987 I was bicycling back from the beach in Santa Barbara to my girlfriends house on Loma when I saw a group of peope filming at a park...I rode over there in time for a break they were taking, turns out it was a video shoot with Kenny Loggins. I went up to him like I knew him and although I wasn't a huge fan, I knew my girlfriends room mate Sherry was, so I asked him for an autograph. He grabbed a sharpie from someone since we couldn't find a pen, and as he looked for something to write on, I pulled out a 5dollar bill and gave it to him....he signed it "To Sherry with Love, Kenny Loggins"....that was how humble he was, anything for a fan. I wonder 38 years later if Sherry still has that 5dollar bill.

There isn't a stage big enough to have all the artists and groups Michael McDonald has recorded with, at the same time. Kenny and Michael have written and recorded many hits together. Kenny cowrote many of the Doobie Brother his. So it absolutely makes sense for them all to do a show, FINALLY!

Smoked a bit of weed with one on the Santa Barbara beach so many years ago and harmonized with another at a local club. All good.
