I was 19 when this was filmed in 1993, I was into metal and hard rock. Now as I approach 50, I've discovered the power of smooth music. Girls used to scream and faint when Elvis walked onto the stage. That's how I feel watching Loggins and McDonald sing together in such a beautiful place. Their improvisation together is perfect, along with the instrumentation. When singers and musicians reach this level of mastery, they make it look so easy and natural. I've also seen Loggins freestyling with Daryl Hall. Loggins can vibe with any great musician any time, any place.

It looks so easy to set up this kind of concert. It's all for the viewers. But in reality, the people behind the scenes are the laborers and actual ministers for their efforts. The Singers and musicians parts are relatively easy. They just show up, do a audio test, they wait for the lights to come on. I'm telling you from experience on both sides. I'd rather be the entertainer. Life is so much easier. When I was in the military showcase in Europe we did it all, transport equipment and personnel, lighting , setup, uniforms, staging performance, staging equipment, scripts, arrangements, performances, then the reverse, meet and greet, tear down equipment, load up onto trucks, find some food, make it to the bus, back to hotel, get some sleep, get up early, and start all over again and head to the next performance site. But we were serving our military. So bless God. Some of the most exciting and memorable times of me and my wife's youthful years, where i met her! Thank you Jesus!
