"I'm Alright" is a song by Kenny Loggins, released in 1980. The song became popular after being featured in the comedy film "Comedyshack." The song is often played at Kenny Loggins' concerts and is featured in all three of his official live albums - Kenny Loggins Alive, Live from Grand Canyon, and Outside: From the Redwoods.
Kenny Loggins, born on January 7th, 1948, is a singer-songwriter from the United States. He was born in Everett, Washington. As a solo artist, Loggins had a series of successful songs featured in movie soundtracks. One of his notable achievements was earning an Academy Award nomination for his song "Footloose" in 1985.

Ya know , you ALMOST think that is canned vocals, until they throw in some little something different and you realize it isn't. That it's truly a live vocal performance that sounds so close to the studio recording it's SICK ! Always the best !

Exactly. This live performance is comparable to the studio version and you don't find that often enough, mainly due to vocal changes singers understandably have to make due to a tired or overworked voice. There's none of that here and Loggins is amazing, as are his great band and backup singers. :)

Absolutely! I thought the same--but then, I'd seen Kenny and the band SO many times in the 70s and 80s that I DO remember, they sounded JUST like the albums. Brilliant freakin' musicians, for sure.

@@33MarciS also, plenty of singers do things in the studio they can't possibly replicate, just so the song sounds cool. So it just creates issues for them later on when they do a live performance.

They don't make music like this anymore! The vocals are incredible! So crisp and clean. I believe I was 13 when it came out. Theme for Caddy Shack. Ironically, I was a caddy at 13 lol! Great song!

Since I was there AND am going to the Belly Up tonight to see him again! He was my neighbor on the beach. I helped move his gear out the house he shared w/Messina...loved him ever since.

Absolutely one of the best live perfomances ive seen in a while. Back in the day when people actually sung with no computer generated voices or overs. Straight up singing and playing. Nothing like it. Baby. Great video.

I'm 43 and recently caught up with Caddyshack. It's been a real tough time for many, and horrible for many more. We need empathy more than ever, and to remember we're all in this together. Love will always win. This video and song is the perfect antidote to bad faith. Kenny, stay safe. Love to you and all dear to you. PS Kenny, I know this is awkward. Mainly for you because, you know, you're well off. Just wanted to say: my hips aren't what they used to be. The doctor says I can go futuristic. So, you know, whatever you can spare will be great seeing as your songs keep getting me swinging about the place. Humbly yours, Andrew. A check is fine.

That’s the first time I’m heard this song. MTV about 1982. Of course, I paid more attention to the ladies. With Kenny Loggins, I realized then at age 10 that you didn’t have to be a beefcake or a hard rock n roller to get them to watch you. Never heard of the movie till I saw the CBS version around 1985.

This is Quite Amazing this is at The Santa Barbara Bowl. My Former Hometown. I always use to see Kenny Loggins around town. I wish I wouldn't have gotten his autograph before I moved.

I remember hearing this exact concert from the hills above it, echoing around the canyon. Some of their songs were so densely constructed it felt like there were five different songs within. Girls in dolphin shorts helped them achieve this of course.

I got the thrill of my life getting to meet and shake hands with Kenny Loggins in Sonoma California. He was so kind and giving of himself, I knew he was in a hurry, he about to sing with Dave Mason yet He took the time to say hello and with the warmest smile. Very kind indeed.

Wiki tells me Kenny wrote this song on his own...I find it hard to believe, but nothing tells me other. Im gonna have to say Kenny along with the others are without a doubt a part of "one" of the most amazing american song writers ever. Truly remarkable.

Kenny is the man. Period. I got into music because of stuff like this. Now look at music. It is ran by a bunch of Belmont grads that see music not hear music. I really really really hate radio. They were the ones to truly ruin music for all of us. I write/play and sing in Nashville Tennessee. We actually think when we sit down to write a song. "What will get on radio", and "don't go over the top of the publics heads". What a sad sad state of affairs we are in where we cannot write to our ability
