True to what you say of Kenny’s kindness. I attended a concert of his at West Point. I caught a signed tambourine of his and gave it to a special needs person near the front row. Wow, it really does take a big person to talk about and desire at the end, they want their spouse to be happy, after they pass. Yes. His voice was sensational. But after his face surgery, it actually affected his true voice pattern. How do I know? Because I had tape recordings of his original voice and then his after surgery voice, which was very different indeed! RIP I WILL NOW ONLY LISTEN TO HIS ORIGINAL RECORDINGS BEFORE HIS SURGERY, BECAUSE THEY ARE ORIGINAL!

I understand his childhood. Like his dad my dad was also an alcoholic. My dad was always absent. Even when I had polio and other illnesses that put me in the hospital. I got myself and went to work at 16. I regret nothing I think it may have made me a better person

Sharon I also am a survivor of polio. We are true fighters. Raised in a poor family and taught not to let anyone see me cry or defeat. I was taught that if I wanted something I had to fight like heck until I got it. Sending love from one survivor to a precious other.

I don’t see what’s so beautiful about his story, and I certainly don’t see any wisdom. He may have been generous and kind to other people, but having five wives and I’m wondering eye doesn’t make for a beautiful story or a wise man. That’s my opinion I would prefer just to have appreciated his music, especially his duets with Dolly Parton and not to know any of this crap.

I really enjoyed listening to Kenny Rogers too. I remember when he was with the first edition that was the first time I ever saw him. I was actually watching a KZfaq video of his mansion that was abandoned and now it’s sitting there empty what a beautiful, beautiful place what a shame it’s falling to ruin. OMG - How much I do miss Kenny Rogers, he was one of my favorite singers! And he could sing a duet with anyone and make it sound good but the ones with Dolly Parton are AWESOME! They fed off each other, like twins or something! RIP Kenny, I loved you as a pop star and a Country Star, That thing he did when he sang, kind of a gravelly, throaty Absolutely Wonderful and so sexy I JUST LOVED IT!! (I know I didn’t explain it very well, but I’ll bet most of his women fans know Exactly what I mean… It sounds like he didn’t suffer much, I’m sure his wife and family did, although being able to see your loved one die without being attached to machines and at home is more of a blessing than anything else we could ask for, in my opinion. Fly home sweet Song Man!

Indeed he was a handsome man. I thought he was really handsome back in the 80's with the salt and pepper hair & beard. And was quite talented, I liked his music. He has three of my favorite songs. He didn't need to start playing with knives, but that's what they do in that business. I think he would have aged gracefully and still be handsome.

Kenny was so handsome before plastic surgery. Not sure why he felt he needed a change. Men get better looking as they get older. Women just get old; first the neck area, then the hands and then the face. Best to be happy with the face and body your parents gave you. Kenny, a great singer with many great hits. I met Kenny at Lufkin Texas airport in 1991 I think it was. I was flying for a company doing business in Lufkin at the time.He flew into Lufkin to go to his mother’s funeral in his son Christopher jet which had Christopher written on the side of aircraft. Kenny’s jet was in maintenance that week so he used his sons was his pilots told me. When Kenny returned to this small airport he told me he been over to Crockett Tx where his mother’s service was held. I then shook hands with him and that my prayers are with him and his family. He thanked me and walked out door and got on the jet and flew off to Cancun Mex. I’m sharing this because I always remember him as a very humble man and could feel his pain from the loss of his mother. I feel blessed to have met him! RIP!
