Daja Voodoo is another Kenny Wayne Shepperd song with a great guitar solo. One of his first albums was named " Daja Voodoo " I believe. On some his solos ... the way he plays he sounds sooo close to Stevie Ray Vaughan that if you didn't know it was Kenny playing the solo ... you would swear it was Stevie Ray. I read an article in Guitar player Magazine that Kenny Wayne Shepperd lived down the street from the Vaughan brothers and he'd go there to watch and listen to Stevie Ray and Jimmy Vaughan play ... and Stevie would sit Kenny on a Marshall amp so he could feel the vibes of the guitar. Now that Kenny is a guitar slinger... he's the closest you can get to experiencing Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Such an amazing band, with Kenny on guitar and Noah Hunt delivering on vocals. This song is so heavy on atmosphere. India, I think you would like the groove of Nothing But The Night by Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band. Well worth exploring their music for blues with dashes of rock, country and groove.

This is the original, five finger death punch’s version is a cover. And many people have covered it but in most of the covers the kenny plays the guitar still. Brent Smith and Zach Myers from shinedown have a really good acoustic cover of it too, Kenny plays on it also. This is a band where the guitarist is actually the name of the band.

Great song...saw this kid when he was sixteen or seventeen years old at an outdoor show in Summersville WV...had to park down a dirt road in a mowed field. Then, get picked up by an old school bus and taken the rest of the way "on out the holler," as we say here lol. If I'm remembering correctly, Steppenwolf (sp?), or Three Dog Night played too. Somebody will remember it better than me. Pretty damn cool gig to go to...wwaaay out the holler, only private security, a bunch of whiskey, cold beer, and 'shine bein passed around, and plenty of "combustible botanicals" too lol (funny how most of the great shows you go to are mostly a "blur?" Great song, he is an amazing guitar player and songwriter. Check out Jonny Lang "A Quitter Never Wins", "Lie To Me", or "Wander This World", he is another great young guitarist.

I'll join everybody in saying omg check out Johnny Lang, but I'd go with "Breakin' Me", his best vocal evar... he played better guitar on many others, having played with Muddy Waters I believe at 15, but it's his voice that wrecks me.
