Kenny, those overall numbers on your depth chart are only projections. They can be altered significantly by how you play that player. The letter grade can fluctuate as well. Again, dependent on how you play the specific player. Just like attributes, the more you successfully or unsuccessfully use an attribute determines whether it increases/decreases. Edit: Your training regimen also affects these stats.

Kenny, Arbitration is good because you're still guaranteed to keep them around next year, you just might have to pay them a little more. It's kind of like a Team Option, but the player can ask for a raise if they're performing good. It's when they get to Free Agency you gotta start worrying about them walking.

Kenny, when a player is drafted, they are under team control for a minimum of 6 years when they are added to the 40 man roster. 3 years Renewable contracts, where the team has control of the salary, and then 3 years of arbitration, where the salary is negotiated. A prayer only enters full free agency when they 6 years are up, or if they are not offered a contract during the 6 years of team control. They can be offered a full contract for longer than just the six years if you want to lock them up for a while.

Just wanting to make it more realistic and harder to hit because in real life it is because of how amazing his changeup is and he’s is able to locate his 4-seam off the changeup.
