for WAR , a full season below 0 is someone who shouldn’t be on a roster. 2 is average, 2-4 is above average, 4-5 is all star, 5-7 is superstar, and 7+ is MVP calibre

WAR is basically how many wins a player adds to a team on his own. A 5 WAR player adds ~5 wins to his team. An average player is worth about 2 WAR, good player is about 4-5, and an MVP is usually 8+

You can turn it on auto for playing the baserunning in settings

For pitchers, I would look at FIP instead of ERA as much. ERA involves fielding as well as their performance. FIP doesn’t include fielding. Only performance.

Turn on auto baserunning trust me. Also remember if you draft or a trade for a pitcher, H/9 and BB/9 are the most important stats for simulations, either starters ir relievers. The sim doesnt reward K/9 or HR/9 like it does H/9 and BB/9, so keep that in mind Loving this series bro please dont stop!

you can turn off base running go to options, click on gameplay, click on general, go to the decisions tab, scroll down until you find the baserunning option then select it to whatever you want

If you trade for a reliever with good stamina (IE. Tyler Wells or Daniel Palencia) and then change him to a starter his overall can go up like 10 (you do have to change their potential to match their overall though). WAR is the thing you want to look at, 3 is all-star, 6 is MVP, 1 is about average (but the best relievers only get 1) But you have to wait for the end of the season for it to really matter. The most important attributes for a pitcher are W/9 and K/9. Chris Morel usually mashes in this game.

What I've read on WAR is that the higher the number the better since it means how may games that team would win with that player compared to the normal replacement player at that position

McGill is a generational prospect. In mlb the show, the first time you scout them they always drop down the board. I guarantee if you scout him to 100% he will jump back up to #1

I'm like 99% sure you can turn off baserunning opportunities by going into player lock settings. I don't have MLB 24, yet, but, you can change the settings in every other MLB game with player lock (since MLB 14), as far I know

Instead of player locking two positions you can load into a double A game and quick manage and take whatever AB with whatever prospect you choose and you have the option to pitch a couple of innings as well

Hey Kenny, you said you'd like to play multiple players at bats over the course of the course of a game. What I do is go to "play the full game" then once in game go to quick manage, it's like a better form of the actual quick manage because you can jump back into the game at any point. I play a couple players at bats per game then quick manage the rest

When runners are in scoring position, a players pci size is determined by their clutch stat not contact. Robert’s pci was so small in that at bat against Duran because his clutch is only 52

Kenny each scout has something they are good at. Efficiency is how fast they scout, discovery means they are good at discovering. I usually hire ones that are high in 2 aspects to maximize their ability

I'm pretty sure you can press down on the right stick before the pitch to see every defensive players fielding attributes

You can’t actually player lock multiple people at once but the closest thing you can do is quick manage and jump in for the players you want to hit or pitch with!

Kenny you need to get 2 scouts who are good at pitchers set them the to 2 regions for 7 weeks then switch to the other two regions so you scout every starting pitcher, then get a scout who is good at position players and pithers and have them scout people you are interested in, hope this helps best way to scout in MLB
